Are you even from FL? Outside of Miami or Orlando -- the stereotypical tourist trap areas not really worth it

You'll find them tucked away between Miami and Fort Lauderdale, in a small place called Hollywood, and a few other such dives.

I love Canada, so nice and cold and snowy and icy....

Interesting quote about Minerals and Metals.......Canada doesn't even make the top of any Metals list.

Why would Canada want to take over the US?

It sucks here.

No, they would have to eventually because Canada is too nice to let nukes fly all over the world. No one wants nuclear holocaust especially Canada..

Where would they get the troops to back up these ambitions? California has more people than Canada and I doubt Canada could even defeat or occupy it. A quick google search says that California has more than 180,000 active duty and reserve troops stationed there, while Canada has about 66,000 to 68,000 troops.

Maybe Canada could settle for picking on Iceland or Greenland? (sorry Iceland & Greenland, it's just business a hypothetical.)

Will you run to Canada to escape US or simply let Canada takeover US peacefully?

Nah, I'm good. Maybe if Canada was close to the Equator and all of my family had already moved there.

You can keep your 'real' beer. Your benevolent gov't taxes the # out of it.

Theres potash everywhere. Its not mined because canada owns the market.

But when i say yall cant grow food.....its because its underneath all that fresh water you have that we call ice.

But it makes your incredibly expensive beer colder, so theres that.

It's only a percentage of the airtime that has to be reserved for canadian artists, and it may be moot due to the TPP anyways.

A Speculative Fiction

A new iron curtain drawn across the 49th parallel
Cut all diplomatic ties as we expel
All American dignitaries and issue a nationwide
Travel advisory for any others left inside

Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide
The burned-out shells of southbound traffic lie

Strewn along a cold
Stretch of would-be interstate
Still visible below
Below the charred remains, Pax Americana plates

Your stupid #ing laser puckers were just the start
And while you may stand six full cubits and a spare
A shepherd's sling and five stones in our hand
The Battle of 1812 lives in our hearts

We don't care if we're destroyed
We'll never capitulate
We'll take the whole #ing world down
Down with us in flames

Just a speculative fiction
No cause for alarm
We've got a good fifteen years left
Until "United We Stand"

Murals on West Broadway finally fade
And we wave goodbye to your sad, childish refrains
Exchanged for other stupid lullabies
Like "You can have my guns when you pry

Them from my cold, dead hands"
Just a speculative fiction

Yes, Hyperpower. Canada is slowly becoming a friend of all nations, so it seems possible. It is just missing is military dominance > USA.

Think of how Norway has treated it's "OIL" wealth, creating a "rainy day fund" for Norwegians, with the oil resources they have. Today, the fund is so wealthy, that each Norwegian has over $1 million USD stashed away in the Crown's rainy day fund. If Canada ever got wise, and followed Norway's example, each Canadian would have 100 times, or more, what the Norwegians have today. That is, each Canadian could potentially be worth $100 Million USD, for every man, woman, child, and their dog or cat too.

I would love to see the average Norwegian Joe shmoe try to cash out that marker..

I think you are misrepresenting a bit there...

A fund the government can use during economic downturns or draw from for public works projects while laudable and wise, by no means affects the day to day life or savings plan or financial portfolio of an average citizen.

A "hyper" power? Not possible. The govt is legalizing weed nationally July 1st. Coincidentally Canada Day. Bwahahahaha.
