In this video homie covers the stats, social media coverage and origins of the tide pod challenge and sows how the rates of children eating laundry detergent remained steady, until the day after the media pretended it was the latest trend..

Just like the “knock-out game” and countless other ridiculous scare tactics they have used before..

Did you try the challenge? I did and then wiped my mouth off using a Bounce fabric softener sheet as a napkin.

I'm obviously suffering no ill effects.

The trick is to swallow it whole.

As long as you poop it out, you'll be okay.

I mean, I was, am.

What a load of #.
The media is not the cause of this stupid trend.
This is just the 2000's equivalent of "dude, hold my beer"

Thin the herd.

This is why I do not eat bacon unless it is from a pig I raise, pet on the face, play with for years, teach to fetch, fall asleep next, then slaughter.

Like most of my friendships, really..

Dude hold my beer, while I eat this urinal cake, and wash it down with chlorine, gives me more room to eat tide pod and vape it's juice.

I don't think it is unreasonable to suggest the media may have had some part to play in spreading word of the "challenge", but the individuals involved are and were still ultimately responsible for their actions.

I'm reminded of how people got caught up in that ridiculous ALS ice bucket challenge. Sure, it's not like free-basing tide pods, but it shows how easily people are swayed to follow the trends/herd.

It's easier to swallow launndry detergent than being a productive member of society.

Dont fret it though, they may Darwin themselves and save us all from spreading their DNA over future generations.
