My wife is a Douala certified in many areas of childbirth. My daughter was born in the water without so much as an aspirin with no doctor present only a midwife (in a hospital of course). I cannot stress to you the importance of physical contact for a baby. Read about baby's in orphanages denied physical contact and the effects of that on them, it aint good.

Unless you can show me some nefarious information on that place, i think your barking up the wrong tree.

However i could be wrong I never heard of that place until now. I am only telling you from experience that it was a huge deal to hold my daughter with skin to skin contact immediately after she was born.

The real and common abuse these kids suffer is being born while jacked out of their minds on petosin etc. and then being taken away from their parents immediately to a cold lonely nursery

There are layers to everything. I have no doubt that there are legitimate practitioners, just like there are legitimate massage therapists for adults and legit massage parlors ... but there's also the "special" side too.

One of the biggest prostitution/human trafficking busts in this area in my memory involved a ring of massage parlors.

Look at the Nassar case from just recently.

Having been an athlete at a high level once upon a time, I've had my experiences with sports medicine and the trainers. None of mine were bad experiences, but what I did learn is that it would be very easy for someone to use sports medicine as a cover to gain access just by virtue of what someone has to do in sports medicine.

There was one particular day when my butt become a teaching tool for a bunch of student trainers. I kid you not.

I was already half asleep when writing my last post before going to sleep else I would have highlighted SIGINT as suggested by RelSciHistItSufi.
