Just found this. Ozzy Osbourne will still be playing music, but no more world tours. He will be 70 this year and wishes to spend more time with his family. I met Ozzy many years ago during the Blizzard of Oz tour. I had no idea what to expect and found him actually quite charming and down to earth.

He retired once already and then he came back with the "Retirement Sucks Tour", back in the 90's.

Maybe it is about time he hung up his boots for a while and relaxed a little. I never saw him live but I had plenty of their records back when I still had records. As for being down to earth, a lot of rockstars seem to be kinda normal when the hotel door is closed. A good time to throw the TV through the window for a laugh too. Back in the old days...

And otherwise there's always

Good on him! It's about time he relaxed.

I've seen him in concert twice here in Canada, and another time during a Black Sabbath reunion. All three were amazing shows. Awesome performer all around.

Veteran of the Black Sabbath concerts and Ozfest.
The greatest band to ever grace a stage anywhere.

I have seen him with Sabbath more than once and also when he went solo as Ozzy, with some great musicians behind him!

How are him and Keith Richards still even standing?
Both should be studied for science.

I got to hear him warm up on the stage at Cal Expo. I was working at the water park next to it and he must have been tinkering around for hours before the show. His people gave a bunch of concert tickets to the employees so I was able to see the No More Tears show. They actually filmed one of the music videos from that night. Man. Such good memories. I also got to see Zach Wylde perform with his band at a little dance/night club shortly after that.

I went to his "No More Tours Tour"... In the 80's? Early nineties? I kinda lost track of his subsequent "No, really this is it" tours.

Edit:

Wrote a funny about how Ozzy and Keith Richards did ALL of the drugs and now medical science has to come up with more and better.

Yeah...

Considering the Medicine Cabinet Epidemic in the US. Kids licking their grandma's fentanyl patches to get high before they OD or go straight to the heroin...

There is a huge problem in the US with opiod dependency.
Wasn't this bad before the US took over the poppy fields in Afghanistan.
It takes years to see the full scale effects.
But 9/11....

Yep. Seems our drug epidemic is right on clockwork...

Lol, I saw his “No More Tours (Tears) Tour” when I was 14 years old, in 1992.

He says “No More” a lot.

The drug problems here in the U.S. are horrendous! Very tragic that so many young lives have been lost or that so many struggle with addictions.
