Staring at my CD collection I built up in the 1990s and the naughties.

Nope you can trash that all.

Just come to ATS.

You're a listener and a DJ.

You're a groupie and a rock star.

Is that a metaphor?

I hate to say so, but it's all a metaphor.

A metaphor for real life.

But sometimes we need it - a bit of escapism.

Hey, still better than going to a pub, and nobody chats with me.

I saw a BBC documentary on how people are no longer going to bars.

They drink at home.

Is it a good thing or bad thing?

You go to a bar anymore and everybody is glued to their cell phones and not talking to the person right next to them! I saw two girls sit down, right next to each other, friends, and proceed to have a conversation through instant messaging! Just turn and talk!

Nobody knows how to talk anymore. Which is why everybody thinks they can say whatever they want like when they are on the internet.

The people that do talk to each are having a wonderful conversation! And finding out that people are more alike than the interweb makes you believe.

You can stay at home and drink. You can still hop on your phone and talk away... the new social drinker!

Half true but still not far off the mark.

When you're seriously funny, but you don't even want to be.

Went to a seminar, and I said something, and my supervisor just starting laughing.
It was not a good laugh - more like a #, I can't help myself laughing.
Darn you halfoldman!

But I seem to have that effect on people, yet only speaking the truth.

Sad they don't see the real tragedy, but hey there's millions of worse things than laughter.

Every time I laugh I'm already in heaven.

Hey sisters and brothers - please come to heaven with me!
It's all a bit "ha, ha", I admit.

Well said my friend.

Everybody wants to legalize this and that.

But the most groovy thing is already growing in the vineyards.
(Yeah, and already paying tax for it.)

And I know it's US based (if you're not American you're never gonna get total support either way).

Its not that bad, dude... most of them will even let you freely debate US politics, without pulling out the "just a foreigner" card, lol... I think most realize that US politics is like reality tv, for people who don't like reality tv.

The one thing I've learn't about Americans on ATS, is that most (at least on ATS) aren't as any where near as 'closed minded' as a lot of people outside of the US usually claim.

Word to the wise though, just don't go on the negative about their gun culture & 2nd amendment... That's considered crossing the line... lol.

Have you smelled yourself lately?

A bit pungeant here and there.

Funny, all these conspiracies about water, when you don't know what you got until it's gone.

(Apologies to Cinderella.)
