Officials warn against sharing disturbing video circulating on Facebook

The FBI and local enforcement agencies across the country have issued warnings about a disturbing video circulating on Facebook and other social media networks. The bottom line: sharing the video, and even viewing, is a crime.

The video, according to law enforcement officials, shows an adult male sexually abusing a young child.

Some days you just want to torture and burn the guilty at the stake!

Facebook users have encouraged others to share the video to try to help catch the people involved in exploiting the child, but law enforcement agencies, including the Polk County Sheriff's Office, say sharing the video is actually a felony.

"PLEASE DO NOT SHARE those images or video," the Polk County Sheriff's Office said in a message posted to their Facebook page Sunday. "Images and video depicting the sexual abuse of a child are pornography. Sharing them, even if your intent is to help, is a crime and continues to victimize the child."

There should be a game show held monthly just for people like this.... Rapist and Pedophiles should be tossed in an arena as their victims pummel them with spears, bullets and the like, from above!

I don't know if this a good thing or more disturbing....

While no arrests have been made, the Polk County Sheriff's Office says the victim at least is safe.

Any thoughts?

One of my FB Friends (ex friend now) Shared a screenshot of the video that traumatized me and disturbed me deeply the night I saw it- and captioned it "People are sick, and sharing this on facebook wtf!"

Like bro.. Fam... Homie.... U JUST SHARED IT. U JUST SHARED CHILD PORN DUDE WTF?!

A friend posted ABOUT this issue.

Seems a couple of her friends shared the video to "bring awareness". God damned idiots need some awareness beaten into them.

Sharing this will get you charged with distribution of child pornography.

If you don't know that (the most basic of common knowledge) or don't care, you deserve what happens to you.

That too! When I saw people initially saying "Pls don't share this bs I don't want to see it" There were HOARDS of people some even mutual friends begging to see the video "to see what happened" UHHH NO!!!!!! I deleted all of those clowns too! Made me realize how many sick people there are not only in the world but just in my city and I suspect others like yourself had similar experiences

I've reported friends for putting some pretty nasty and dodgy things on Facebook over the last few years. I haven't come across this yet thankfully.
It sickens me just thinking what goes through some people's heads.

I'm sure one of the idiot pages on Facebook will post it eventually.

I think this is an excellent case study into how effective simple propaganda techniques can be.

We all know about the various "Awareness" campaigns around the country and on the internet. Usually, it's some horrible situation that requires everyone's "awareness", coupled with some awful images or video snippets, and boom! Social media campaign and mass sharing.

Someone thought this was a good way to get their "lulz". Well, they succeeded. They also proved beyond a shadow of a doubt just how little critical thinking takes place in this country.

I like the idea but I say don't give them an audience just let the victims do that and deny the rapists the satisfaction of knowing they get an audience. Make sure they know they get to die alone pummeled to death by those they hurt.

Oh stop with your moral relativism.

I believe in our constitutional justice system.

But let that be my kid and there wouldn't be a whole lot anyone could do to keep me from killing the perpetrator. The constitution protects the rights of citizens against government oppression. What it does NOT do is protect people from the consequences of their choices. The lucky ones are swept up by the justice system.

They also proved the depths of depravity and stupidity in this country!

Frankly, I'd have to wonder just how long before "they", whoever "they" are, will use this and other such incidences to demand an end to anonymity on the net. In fact, they may move to require all users acquire, i.e., sign up for and be issued an official (government issued) digital I.D. necessary to access the internet.

To no fault of their own ,because the public educational system teaches people what to think and not how to think they soon find themselves going with the flow . FB being a great place to share what ever band wagon needs to be pushed by tptb to create the kaos needed to change narratives not desired . Ignorance of the laws we are told is no excuse but who knows them all ?

we seem to have lost all our senses, lost our humanity, lost our way.

Computer software now exists to create xxx flicks without actual human actors.

This is the next big problem for society.

Because, they are taking faces of real Hollywood stars and using their images to create porn flicks that they never actually acted in.

So, what we see now, in video online, isn't real anymore. We can't tell the difference between what is real and what is fake.

Fake porn is all over the web.

The question then becomes, who was "abused" when a fake porn generated by computer software is released on the internet?

Is it still illegal to watch the fake porn, or to have fake porn in your posession?

Shouldn't it be necessary to have a "victim" for everything defined as a "crime".

If you can't produce the victim, seen in the video, then can it be classified as a crime, just to watch shapes and sounds generated by software?

Reality is changing.

Pedophiliacs no longer need the actual abuse of children to "enjoy" their form of art and entertainment.

This can be considered their "fake cigarette", that "tastes similar" but doesn't actually "do the damage" of a "real cigarette".

Are we really concerned about the abuse of children, or are we really concerned about what people like to think about?

Absolutely! Depending on the crime, of course.

If a person has no moral compass, willingly doing such things to a child.... I would be happy to draw up some designs that would make the creators or SAW envious.

Look what those people did who shared and unaskedly rubbing stuff like that under others peoples noses. Is it idiotic heroism that drives those people?? That they poison their soul with images like that for the slim chance they could know the person? Is it a sick kind of voyourism in the sense of "could it be friend X" I just can´t grasp what brought them to that train of logic that it´s necessary to "advertise" that video?

It is like watching a show highlighting a wanted murderer accused of murdering 4 people and saying hopefully this reenactment will bring the killer to justice and if it doesnt then we just needlessly killed 4 more people.

The problem with this is... What's to say that pedo's are so screwed up that they will not only want to watch this "fake pedo porn" but will want to know what it feels like? Much like a serial killer gets off on killing it's victims in various ways.

I was a believer, now days not so much. I would like to believe again, but I need to see justice prevail a few times first. Not just whoever has the best connections.
