It's a war.

No. It's not. It sounds like your every day of the week crime and punishment. Don't make matters worse by promoting the idea of "a war".

Please and thank you.

Dozens. That connotes at least 24 agents, not to mention the many Texas Rangers and Hidalgo County Sheriff’s deputies that assisted. Sounds like something pretty heavy going down.

Sorry, but we don't have a district judge arrested every day of the week.

Moreover, they don't arrest these guys while their on the way to their campaign rally, unless they want to send a message to other democrats.

Timing is everything.

Timing is signaling to everyone who knows.

I'm sure there is real criminality involved in this arrest. We will find out Monday. I don't think dozens of FBI agents assisted by many other state and local law enforcement officers, are there to merely send a message to other democrats.

Of course.

The FBI doesn't act without "evidence". They are going to have to show the court something.

Remember, the FBI showed the court the dossier to get the FISA warrant in Trump's MEMO. There are "procedures" to follow.

Now, Trump is claiming that the FBI are targeting "Republicans", so the FBI has to arrest a high level "Democrat" to balance the scales in the public eye.

Just a war.

The battle for public opinion.

Well, what he did wrong probably had nothing to do with his being a Democrat. You can't classify a criminal based on their political affiliation. either they are corrupt or they aren't. It appears that he may have been on the run or at least they thought he was skipping the country.

Man, they are all corrupt.

It's not about who is corrupt.

It's about who you will arrest "today" for being corrupt.

Trump was complaining that the FBI is filled with "Democrats", and his MEMO was designed to prove that the FBI is "politically biased" only going after "Corrupt Republicans", while letting "Corrupt Democrats", like say, Hillary, off the hook.

So, it's political. They got to "pull" one corrupt Democrat off the streets to counter Trump's claim of bias.

Thank you for being so reasonable and kind, AD. If more would follow your lead (including myself) we wouldn't have the extreme polarization we see so often

Sincerely,

JB

Sorry, all that 'sending a message' junk simply sounds like paranoia.

If they arrested him on his way to an event, it's because it worked out that way. They had enough information, so they executed it when they did, be damned what he was doing at the time. They will take them from work, and off the toilet.

The man has obviously committed a crime. Given the police response, it must be pretty serious.

How many MSM sources will leave out that he is a Democrat in the headline?

The msm isn't going to run this because it's a local news story. But, because it has the right elements: Hispanic, democrat, and judge; certain outlets with a specific audience will run with it.

They'll get page views, you'll get confirmation bias, and no one will remember this in two weeks.

Pretty much every story outside of DC starts out as a local news story. The big wigs at the network, cable and national print news outlets decide which local stories warrant national attention.

How is this guy still a judge?

Indicted in '05, Valley judge still awaits trial — and keeps drawing $146,418 annually

Delgado, 53, remains on paid suspension getting $146,418 annually from state and Hidalgo County funds. No trial date is set for the two felony charges against him, evading arrest and misuse of official information, as a tiff about which judge should oversee the politicized case is bogged down on appeal.
