Breaking: Train carrying Republicans to a retreat has crashed / collision, injuries reported

Train collided with a dump truck that was on the tracks in Virginia (greenbriar was destination). Triage center being set up near the crash site.

Train was chartered by Republicans.

That was my first thought when I heard of the accident. FF.

There's a picture being shown on Fox right now that appears to show a badly damaged train car. I hope nobody was in that car because it doesn't look good.

They're reporting the driver of the truck is injured, which isn't hard to believe.

Fox confirmed Paul Ryan was on the train. Amtrak released a statement already saying no passengers or crew were injured. The driver of the truck appears to be the main concern right now.

I'm surprised the driver is still alive. Based on that picture, I'd expect them to be searching around for body parts.

Reports are minor injuries to people on the train. Don't think the garbage trucker driver is doing ok based on the picture. Members with medical training are attending to people. Speaker Ryan was on the train but is uninjured.

And hopefully it turns out to be just a random accident. Because if it wasn't, the Dems are going to be dreaming of those halcyon days when the FISA memo was their biggest problem.
