My first thread, please be kind. I am not blocking ads, but still cant upload pictures.

Looking through the Curiosity rovers pictures, i found 5 shapes that are embeded in the rock. At first i thought it was maybe just left over lava bubbles, but these caught my attention because all 5 are the same strange equal shape and are all seperate from each other.

Link - Link to Photo, they are from the centre down.

I dont think they are the normal shapes you would find left over from bubble pops, all 5 are like an E with a C curve to them. Might be bubble pops but i dont remember seeing any like these before. I also dont think they any kind of fossil.

If someone could post the picture i would be grateful.

Here's a closer look at one of the C shaped objects.

Could be geological or perhaps just another fossil.

It all looks like dirt to me. You will need to point out what you are seeing. There is nothing obviously out of place as far as i can see.

Maybe NASA is reusing old props from the moon-landing?

Thanks gortex. Those are a bit odd

Can you point out what you see?

I don't see anything similar.

Any way of determining size/scale? Maybe craters that have been filled in with dirt and sand?

I've seen that before...That's the doubloon the Goonies used to follow in Chester Copperpot's foot steps and eventually find One Eyed Willy's treasure.

Wonder how it got there?

The Picture is from the Mars Hand Lens Imager (MAHLI) images from Sol 1949, so the size of these 5 shapes are going to be extremely small, at a guess probably just a few milimetres across.

Ummm...now that is strange...they're actually circular...all seem to be in the same plane and every one of them has the same asymmetrical shape in the upper left quadrant...

They are all identical to one another...

Perhaps some sort of crystallization of minerals...or like gortex stated fossilization...

Cool find Moohide...

The repetition of these things are remarkable.
There seems to be something glinstering on the right in the shadows ?

I think so yes, the same 5 shapes, in the same small area, seperate but look identical. I also dont remember seeing any like these before.

Ummm...well...you did remark on them...and therefore answered your own question...

They are certainly remarkable to me...
Not currently able to visit those coordinates myself and explore further...I would say that's all we have left at this time is to...remark...on them...

They follow the same line, give or take. If not fossils, then footprints of some type.

Great find. Reminds me of some macroscale objects, labeled "dunes", that have been "photographed" by the Orbiter on Mars. The similar orientation of the objects suggests a tampered photo, as though a Clone tool were used on a layer to produce a pattern that was later mogrified to look random, then merged with the underlying/overlying image, but preserving the similar orientation of the stamped (mogrified) image elements. To tell the truth, I can think of any number of ways to use Photoshop or Gimp to produce the apparent "fossils" on this photo. Not that I don't believe Mars has fossils -- I most definitely do -- but I also believe JPL in particular is tasked with constantly effing with public perceptions in various ways.

Still. GREAT FIND and great first thread.

However, having said that, if the image has been tampered with, they did an excellent job. I saw no visual artifact -other than extremely non-random, similar orientation of crescent-shaped 'fossils' -- suggestive of tampering. I wonder if anybody has the software handy to test for image manipulation.

I KNEW I recognized that symbol from somewhere!

For sure the PerceptionMeisters at JPL are effing with our heads. This is a psyop to prevent another Brexit!

looks like an old river bed.
You can see some small Pea sized gravel.

OH! And what appears to be the Xenomorph symbol.
