To be honest I'm not well informed on any of this so I'll have to take a look at your links.

I just remember blasting "F YOU" by Lilly Allen from my bedroom as a teenager, and I was in love with how adorable I found her and perhaps if you feel so inclined you could blast it right back at her... hehe.

I don't think you get the meaning of "virtue signaling", at least as it's used today. Today it's used to describe scum patting themselves on the back trying to make themselves look virtuous. Praising people who actually deserve it is not the same thing, at all.
