As long as these meet up groups are doing legal things, no problem. It's planning to derail democratically elected candidates that cause issues.

I don't hate trump. I just don't blindly believe that trump is this champion being torn down by a secret cabal of conspiracies. There's just not enough evidence for that. Also, trump is constantly playing a fool. How can he be behind the takedown of a massive elite cabal?

It seems most support for trump is through this BELIEF that trump is leading this massive change from corrupt politics behind the curtain. I just don't see any strong evidence for that. If anything, trump often shows himself to be for corporate power. While Hillary is certainly corrupt, being against her doesn't prove your leading a takedown of the cabal. It could simply just mean more of the divisive left vs right politics. Using Hillary as a distraction. Also, isn't trumps praise of Fox News proof that trump doesn't care about mainstream news propaganda? That shows that trump is just favoring whatever side gets him love. I think many in here are being fooled into believing trump to be our savior.

Most of us here want similar things, but this trump long shot rests solely on the whispers of "insiders".

It seems 'EXPLOSIVE' may have been an embellishment. And 'uncovered' would imply we actually uncovered some details. This amounts to a single instance keyword find.

Agreed. To me, the most convincing part of this was when I read the "proof" there was nothing in it about secret societies. And then there was the walkback about "oh, well, it's not really in THERE.."

Now other Republicans are starting to doubt this.

Someone on my Facebook feed pointed out that if true, it was hardly going to be a secret since everyone in Congress had seen it already... and if they had said "secret society" then every Republican congresscritter out there would be waving the exact quote in front of us.

I sincerely don't think it's fear driving this. (I agree with you to some point, there will always be nutjobs no matter where ya go), but instead I see this as a concerted effort to divide the country much the way GWBs' words "youre either with us or with the terrorists" attempted to do (and GWB seems like a scholar and saint by way of comparison), It's ironic to me that some people talk about "safe spaces" on HERE of all places...seems this has become a "safe space" for the thinly veiled sarcastic and meme jockeys who likely orgasm everytime they receive a star for their stellar rhetoric. Meanwhile, they are making an attempt to foster such hatred that I doubt they could understand the type of damage they are doing to constitutional norms and what the outcome of that might be. I hope that the vast majority of them have at a minimum, basic military training...it helps to know how to fight (and more importantly survive) for what you believe in.
