RUSH on a Friday night, Why the hell not. Love this band.

Bio - Rush is a Canadian rock band composed of Geddy Lee (bass, lead vocals, keyboards), Alex Lifeson (guitars, backing vocals) and Neil Peart (drums, percussion, lyrics). Forming in 1968, the band went through several configurations until arriving at its current line-up when Peart replaced original drummer John Rutsey.

This kicks!

When I was a kid, I had an Iranian Big Brother from the Big Brother/Sister organization. He introduced me to Rush. And electronics and engineering.

He was pretty kick-ass, thanks Vahid!

Ouch!

I like driving the back roads where it's quiet, no interference around 8pm and my old 8 track deck, ok admittedly I also own a ghetto blaster so it offsets any interruptions.

Rush is one of the greatest bands to ever grace rock and roll, they're a fairly distant second behind Led Zeppelin though in my opinion.

In a new interview with the Globe and Mail, Lifeson made it clear that the chances of anyone ever hearing new Rush music are slim to none. "It's been a little over two years since Rush last toured," he said. "We have no plans to tour or record any more. We're basically done. After 41 years, we felt it was enough."

RUSH has been my favorite since I first heard them at 14. A friend of mine, whose older brother introduced him to RUSH, had the 2112 album and I just fell in to the music and never looked back. I've used lyrics from "Roll the Bones" as my signature line here from time to time.

I missed the last tour.

Late night. Full Moon. A twisting, turning road with some beautiful sweeping curves. Me and a Kawasaki Ninja 750 and Red Barchetta playing through headphones....
He clocked me coming out of a curve at 91 in a 55.

It was worth it.

I listened to Rush in junior high, couldn't imagine a better time to live than the 70's/80's.
