That's ok, I get to talk to you on the phone eh? LOL

For those who don't know Lone, we met on a writing site 13 years ago.

Kaelci tip-toed through the silent halls
Halls that were dimly lit
Past drooling creatures a-slumbering
Creatures that snored quite a bit

'Quite a bit?' she inwardly smirked
For the beasts were dreadfully loud
A grumpy snort and her ears did perk
A bellowing roar as into an oaf she did plough

"Sorry sir!" she giggled and ran
As quick as a swift summer breeze
After many indignant grumbles and groans
The offended grunts soon did cease

Kaelci pranced into the kitchen
And dodged the pixies that fluttered in doze
Her footsteps light upon hardwood floors
An ear-piercing squeal as she stood on someone's toes

"Whoops!" she shouted as she sprinted away
The freshly baked doughnut the prize she grasped
A firm grin was fixed upon her smug face
Until a foot dared to trip her as she passed

"Why!?" she exclaimed in feigned dismay
As the cheeky Magister stole her treat
Darien! Usurper of baked goods grinned wryly
And with one gulp the doughnut he did eat

Kaelci's wail echoed through the night
Suddenly all who dwelled within did awaken
People and creatures both miffed and surprised
Because Kaelci's treat had been taken.

WOW!!! Kaelci Darling, that was awesome!!!! I am so delighted that...not only did you pop in, but left us a wonderful little story! Thank you so much! And...step away from the bushes more often! Big warm hug!

How are Dave and that gorgeous child of yours? How is the writing coming along? How is Squeak and his mate?

I was just adding more colors to an unfortunately black and white day.

Hello and sweet dreams to everyone here tonight. Now I'm off for bed.

Thank you
Was just an impulsive little rhyme and I had to post it..

Had a photo-day before Dave had to leave... this was one of the only good ones to turn out of just me and him without the little monkeyboy. Dave's at the airport right now. Will be there for several lonngggg hours until mid-morning tomorrow before his flight. This 3 months flew by so very quickly... but he's aiming to be back here by May for another 3 months, in time for the boy's birthday. Slowly saving money towards the visa that will enable him to remain here with us in a more permanent fashion. Slowly but eventually. Zug's doing well with it so far... bedtime just then was surprisingly easy though I am expecting a midnight wake-up.

Squeak and her new friend Skittles are good! They cuddle up to one another and groom eachother and then chase eachother around their cage. Only a couple of disagreements and Squeak is definitely the dominant alpha lovebird. Obligatory photo <3 - You can see Squeak's disapproval radiating from her.

My writing has been non-existent... unfortunately. It's hard to find time lately and the munchkin often has possession of the computer during the moments of downtime. But hoping to fix that... it really needs to be done. Lyria's story is pretty much complete, just need to do the final scenes and go over it all with a fine-tooth comb... but. Tiiiime.

*flails arms at Kronos, god of time.*

Well, "The Beast from the East" weather-front has hit the UK.
We have a wee bit of snow & high winds in Sunny Scotland. meh.
They've closed all of the Schools?
England has come to an apparent standstill???

This is the view out the front window...

and this is from my computer desk at the back... (Those birds are about 4 feet from my leg!)

I counted 14 birds on my back-step (at the same time!!) about 30secs after I took that one!!!

Work is quiet.
Band rehearsal this afternoon has been cancelled.
This is unfortunate, as our next gig is on Friday! (First proper gig with the new guy.)

My friend (Jim) came over on Saturday to look at the Bongo (car) and LOVED IT!
So, he's going to be buying it from me in the next few weeks!

Sorry to hear that Dave's stay in Aus has temporarily been interrupted. (I genuinely loved the photo!)

Helloooooo to everyone else that I haven't mentioned!
(Except for WIS)

Those birds are heat seeking ... careful they don't either hump ypur leg or eat it.

Glad you have some cashflow coming your way.
Looks like you'll need it for heating !

hehe - Hi D!

Strangely, we were just talking about our heating last night!
We got "Air Source" heating installed a few months ago and this is its first REAL TEST (weather-wise).
I have to say... It has done very well! (It's a brand new system and it's A+ rated for efficiency)
The house is consistently VERY toasty, and our bills have been reduced by a significant amount too.
We are very impressed with it!

My home-made Pea & Ham soup is bubbling away on the hob... I'm snug as a bug in a rug.... "It is Gooood!"

Just watched a video clip of German Beer Testers trying "Helium Beer"!!!
(The video was just made as an April Fools prank but it is very funny anyways!!!)
We NEED to find a way to actually make this product!!!

The howling wind whistled and whined as it blew across the bleak, snow-covered side of the shed. Drawing its claws along the windows, rattling them in their frames. Its freezing breathe making the roof-tiles shudder and clack as they huddled together, doing their best to protect the shed-dwellers within.

Gordi opened one eye to discover that he had "nodded off" in front of the fire, which had by now settled down into a warm yet indistinct mass - like a big bowl of red-glowing jello with the odd blackened stick poking out. He turned his head towards the back door; listening to the wind, and then gently rested it back against the chair, quite content in the safety, warmth and comfort of the old shed kitchen.

A smile spread across his face as he started to drift once more towards blissful slumber, until...
The Howling wind suddenly stopped!
The cacophony of noises from the storm outside vanished in an instant, and the only sound to be heard was the Creak! Creak! Creak! of a heavy footstep on the back porch...
and... It was coming towards the door....

Stop being so self-conscious, look what you've got your arm around, cameras don't lie!

On the other hand, I seem to see (my eyes ain't that good anymore) some swelling on your forehead. Is it just my eyes or have you been attacked by flying parasites? (Apologies if that is just the normal shape of your forehead, just in case!)

Nice mullet by the way.
