Saints safety marcus williams, purposely missed a tackle on stefon diggs. Why ??? I think he must have cooties ! It's the only explanation i can come with. The NFL is rigged!!!!!

You seriously think that the players that are at odds with the nfl about kneeling and long term concussion issues are going to be willing participants in throwing a game?

Not to mention the difficulty of the catch and staying on his feet.

But if you have the guts, ask Marcus Williams why he intentionally missed the tackle.

I saw that amazing finish to that playoff game. I am a fan of former Bengals defensive coordinator and current head coach of the Vikings Mike Zimmer so I was rooting for the Vikes.

What you saw was a young man who had been coached and told that no matter what do not pass interfere on what should be the final play of the game. Thus, he appeared to intentionally avoid the hit and inadvertently allowed the game winning TD.

It was a great game.

Yup, pass interference there is a good shot at a field goal.

Correct.
The only thing that would have helped there would be Williams staying deep and tackling after the catch was made.

1 no one is behind him. If he misses tackle . touchdown. Vickings win
2 tackle out of bounds vicking have to kick field goal
3 pass interference. Vikings kick field goal
4 make tackle inbounds. saints win
Have to make tackle. NO other choice

If there was a pass interference call then the Vikings would have been in field goal range, and then a field goal would have decided the game.
So Williams played it safe but there was no one else to tackle Diggs. Oops.

Oh, the NFL is rigged all right, but what happened last night was that the Saints got beat fair and square. Now, when the Patriots come back from an impossible deficit to win the Super Bowl again because of preposterous calls by the officials, we can lay this conspiracy to rest...

Totally the wrong type of football for me but i did actually see this and totally agree. Yes it would have been a field goal attempt but they would have still had to convert it - and you see plenty missed.

As a comparison from my type of football, just look at Luis Suarez a couple of world cups ago for Uruguay. He handballed it off the line to stop a certain goal. Yes he gave away a penalty and got sent off.....but the penalty was missed and Uruguay went through. At the top end of any sport, it is about the result at the emd of the day.

I’m not so sure NE is making it to the super bowl. I’m sure the Steelers thought they were a lock for the AFC championship game...

I thought cooties were a child hood thing ?
after the age of 7 or 8 cooties could no longer be transferred from boy to boy or girl to girl ?
The odd thing about cooties is wile ether boys or girls could have or get cooties a boy or girl who had cooties could only transfer cooties to another boy of girl .
So if a girl has cooties then she can only give them to another girl and same boy to boy .
Alest this is what was believed when I was 6 lololol

look at the way #43 sticks his left leg way out to the left even though his target is to his right... seemingly trying to avoid tackling #14, then he tucks his arm into his chest and you can see him push it forward out of #14's way, then #43 makes himself twist/rotate AWAY from #14 again seemingly trying to avoid touching #14, #43 then bends his knees pulling his legs in to make sure they arent in #14's way, allowing himself to barrel into his own team mate #20.
the game is rigged

there once was an author who posted here on ats about his new book www.amazon.com... which details very well many obvious examples of the nfl rigging the outcomes. i sought to link that thread here but it seems to be missing maybe it was removed for some reason, so that amazon link will have to do.

I'm a Saints fan and i couldn't believe what i was seeing. How could he miss? I was yelling at the TV, saying FIRE That Guy!!

Great game, except for the last 20 seconds..That loss really hurt... should have been a WIN...damnit!!

Oh well, at least Jacksonville is still in it... In Superbowl i don't care who wins, as long as it's not Patriots..boo
