www.flashbunny.org...

This is a well-designed page with a short intro, that is designed to enrage NRA members and Second Amendment true believers. Interesting choice of 'speakers'.

My perception is there are more gun lobbyists at ATS than preachers of disarmament.

You would be at the mercy of the government, if an asshole comes into office wanting to seize control of the country how could we stop him then? Throw rocks? Write reports? What would it matter, if he had military backing we would be screwed.

Guns don't kill people, people kill people

Absolutely bloody right SW.

It's not the guns that are the problem, it's some of the lunatics that have them.

Like everything in this world, people take advantage and ruin everything for other people, that's why things get stopped.

Some people dont believe in moderation, all they do is miss behave.

If you took away the guns, there would still be theft, murder, and corruption, just on a different level. Also, guns have been around so long that there is now way they could take them all. If you look at the crime rates in the United States, you would see that cities which allow people to carry side arms actually have a significantly lower crime rate than, say, Miami. It is my undeniable right to have a gun, my ancestors decided that over 200 years ago, who are we to correct thier decision?

Problem is too many left wingers want the USA to be communist, they just don't see it! Read Marx's book, they echo him 150% Take the guns, take the liberty, work for one goal Blah Blah Blah, my question is this, do you think I am ever going to let some socialist asshole take my gun? I think not.

I love this website.

I like especially the anti-gun logic 1.
But they have so right...anti-guns peoples are not very logic with what they says. But at least, they are logic with what they want. Banning all the guns.

Someone knowss how many " americans "peoples want to ban all the guns in the US ? 20 % ? 50 % ? Is there any statistic on that matter ?

What Ultra is saying, but in my state (Ohio) they had a pro-gun and anti-gun rally in a park across from my house last year, there were 40,000 pro gun people on Friday and about 2,500 anti gun people the next day, I would say that reflects the ideology of our society

"I want to complain, but when it comes time to show support, they are too afraid to come out and show thier support for fear of what others think"

I understand where U-P is coming from. I haven't seen any opinion polls on disarmament recently.

There is a lot of bullsh*t spread around regarding gun ownership and reduced crime rates, or disarmament leading to increased crime rates. That doesn't stack up. Lawlessness is a function of things other than gun ownership.

The NRA needs a better spokesperson than Charlton Heston, who is being prepared for the taxidermist. Who did they replace him with recently?

The anti-gun lobby can't ride on the back of Michael Moore, who is hilarious (to some, in his form of 'journalism'). He doesn't show enough courtesy when being hosted in the palatial residences of NRA spokespeople.

The best quote I can come up with for this situation is:

"If you carry a gun, people will call you paranoid. Thats ridiculous. If I have a gun, what in the hell do I have to be paranoid about?"

Suit against gun maker allowed on 'hypothetical facts'

Poor inventory management and accounting systems coupled with advanced technology to make and sell killing weapons.

That is the US military-industrial machine.

And as a microcosm, the ma and pa small business that made the weapon used by the snipers around Washington have got themselves in big sh*t.

It is not the owner of the Gun stores fault some dickwad happened to get a hold of a sniper rifle. They could literally have stole it or bought it of a US solder or government agent as well. The problem with my #ing country is that we are to busy trying to absolve the guilty of their problems. People would rather sue the succesful then attack the problem. Is it Colt's fault that some 49 year old man shot his wife because she cheated on him? Would he have killed her anyways?

This sickens me to no end, start enforcing tougher laws on illegal gun possesion and murder, and lay off the responsible.

Fair comment.

I think the point with this gun maker was they did not have adequate security in their storage or accountability in their production, so they have been targeted.

If I think about it from the angle of the families who lost loved ones to the snipers, they would be seeking redress from every direction - one of which is how did these guys get the guns, which leads the trail to the incompetence of this gun maker.

Hence a prima facie case.

Sure we should have blind faith in the governments to protect us. Oh, and the crimanals, too.

Yes and no. The fact of the matter is that a violent criminal in Washington D.C. KNOWS that the old lady he is about to mug is not armed. Therefore he is more inclined to commit the crime. In another city he has that little nagging in the back of his deviant brain that he might actually get a bullet instead of that next bag 'o crack.
I do agree that there are other issues driving the problem though. Poverty probably the biggest with (Hard)Drug abuse and poor educatation following closely.
Personally, I don't have guns to defend my home from criminals(non-issue where I live) or to hunt(wife goes to the grocery
). I own guns to target shoot and to protect my country from potential Tyranny.

Well in the UK we are at the mercy of the Government, but outlawing guns do reduce gun crime, in the UK each year there is around 60 gun related crimes compared with New York where number is nearer to 10,000!

So pro gun people, could you maybe state your argument that speak in favor of citizens owning guns?

Makes no difference. Sporting isn't even an issue. I wouldn't make a big horaah over a sporting issue. Gun ownership is an obligation in the U.S. That's how the Founding Fathers saw it. Even after them, Abe Lincoln said the best thing we could hope for is that every citizen be armed.
