Eh, more like Trump started thinking like some European party leaders have been thinking for a couple decades at least. I'd say most if not all of the countries had an anti-immigration right-wing or populist party in their parliament before Trump ever decided to run. Of course even now they don't have too much power, except in Eastern Europe. But like Konduit showed the bigger leaders have been very slowly getting harder on immigration.
