No nonsense at all. The thread refers to cannabis. In fact, I am anti-drug. Period. Compared to other drugs cannabis is a minor issue. I am anti-drug. All of them.

I would promote the nation toward less drugs, not more. No comrpomise.

The current administration under full republican control wants to counter a socks and sandals legalization that was absurd to begin with...because they believe in debunked information through years of research simply because they find it against their personal choice.

The plant in question is a tame drug (when compared to alcohol) but the fuddy duddys in the fed want to make sure you aren't allowed to choose as you so desire to partake or not. Its been shown its non addictive qualities, psychologically neutral to perhaps beneficial (case to case)...but hey, they find it dumb..therefore enforce removing states rights here because...why....why???

I am anti-DEA bs restrictions. I take oxycontin prescribed by my doctor for a broken back caused by a drunk not a stoner. I take a legal document to a legal pharmacy and then HOPE they have enough to fill it. Why, because they are only allowed to order so many pills at a time. They are not allowed to tell me if they have them over the phone. I have to go to each store with my script. I can get no more than a 30 day supply. My insurance won't fill it early so I have to plan around it. I can't get it filled outside of Arizona, and on and on. Bottom line, I can get all the pills I want off the street easier than I can by legal means. No law will ever stop people from doing something. The only people effected by laws are the ones who were not the problem in the first place.

In North Africa, Kif Kif, is endemic, just like our 60's pot was. But get caught with a Key of Katama Black, and away you go. There's a light year's difference between Hashhish, and Kif. A regional lockup near me was shocked at M.J. buds exploding with what they thought was, "salted", crystal meth. But when a lab tested it, it was just souped up THC breaking up the buds, and there was no Meth involved. But this has got to be getting close to real Lebenese "Red Leather", or moldy Katama Black. And it's this level of intoxicants which will bring you down.

And I believe that all this is the fault of those dumb Azz Feds, who sat on their pot plantation, and did nothing. Free Marketeers, jumped all over the break down of anti drug laws, and we got medical M.J. which actually does some good. But Big Pharma, doesn't have a hammer lock on medical Pot, so of course the old boy's club in the U.S. Senate, is up in arms. And its these numbskull Pot Head Growers, who will make it necessary to control the seed stock genetics, and thereby let Big Pharma take it out from under our feet, ONCE AGAIN.

That's the thing, though.

One who is against drinking doesn't (or shouldn't) have the right to deny the right of others (through legislation) to purchase or drink alcohol.

Same with Sunday alcohol sales.
Same with pot.

Justify it all you want. I decide what 'rights' I have as you do. You live in a cabin, away from other people? Go ahead exercise your 'choice'. Doobie yourself to your heart's content.

The reality is we are a cooperative society. We interact virtually non-stop. There is overlap between 'rights'. My right to a safer environment is also mine to promote.
