That's an awesome story, and I get it about being semi-feral. After a while of being feral, there is no amount of domestication that can completely occur, even as much as the animal might want it, I don't think.

I have never gotten a cat from a rescue center, although I considered after Toby got sick and disappeared. Most of my recent cats have been stray-rescues. But when this little fellow showed up to my dad's, and since they couldn't keep him, I just knew I had to take him because of his personality.

All I can surmise is that she really, really wanted us and did her best to convince me that fateful day. Which worked a treat. She is our teenage fur-daughter and we love her dearly.

That's usually how it works, lol. They choose us. They own us, lol.
