We both heard her Mother's voice despite the fact her mother never said a word

I dated this lady 11 years ago and things were great between us for the short 4 months that we were together until we parted ways.We did experience a paranormal event together as a couple and it immediately got our attention. The event wasn't the most spectacular or astonishing thing, but yet it was creepy and it caught our attention.

The event: Cassie and I were in her bedroom one day while she was folding her clothes while her mother was in the bathroom washing her hair at the time. The bathroom is all the way on the other side of the house in a "C" formation. That's how someone would get the bathroom from cassie's bedroom by walking. You would walk out of her bedroom and take a left (which is in the dining room) then into the kitchen. From there take another left turn (from the kitchen to the bathroom). Her mother is always calling out for Cassie's name/help due to weight/age issue's (mostly weight) because she can not get around by herself and Cassie is usually there at the drop of the dime to her.Well on that certain day while I was sitting on Cassie's bed watching her fold clothes, cassie and I both clearly heard her mother call out her name,"cassie",out loud,in a straight forward fashion manner, which came from the other room,as usual, when she needed help.Cassie's bedroom door I'm guessing was 6-9" wide open.We didn't think nothing of it until she came back into the bedroom and said to me "there's nobody out there".I got up off the bed, went out the bedroom door, out into the living room where her mother spends 99% of her time, looked directly where her mother should be seated at,then looked all around the living room and sure enough there was NOONE there.

I'm a reasonable, understandable and logic-able person and will undergo any explanation to explain things away until we get a durable answer. Her mother couldn't have yelled her daughters name in that room and then ran into the bathroom because she has severe weight issues. It literally takes her mother 5 minutes just to walk 15 feet. That's a rough estimate, not precise, but accurate guess.I would know because I've personally seen her walk around in person many times.

Here's the kicker.Cassie went and asked her mother if she said her name out loud a minute ago in the other room or in the bathroom while washing her hair, her reply back was no.I even asked her mother myself,in person, while she was washing her hair if she said her daughters name out loud.Again she said no.I asked again "I'm just double checking. Are you sure you didn't say your daughters name out loud just a minute ago?" Again replied back her mothers answer,no.

We both know what we heard,a voice, and have no idea where it came from and it sounded identical, and I mean identical to her mothers voice, but her mother claimed she never said so much as a word out of her mouth. This must be some "out of the body telepathic mother to daughter communication" or something.

Cassie does have a daughter and she was at school at the time. Her half brother does live there as well, but he wasn't home at the time. The only people inside the home that I was aware of were 3 living souls: Cassie's mother,Cassie and I,that's it.Now unless this was some kind of a sick joke or prank that I was NOT aware of then I'm claiming this to be paranormal.

Whether the tv was on or off,I don't recall.I think it was off? Even if it was on,what are the odds hers mother familiar voice being heard plus with cassie's name at the same time with only just her name? I doubt it.The tv would play much more commotion and words than just one word and the same goes for the radio.I don't think they ever played the radio and whenever her mother cooked or went to the bathroom the tv was usually off anyway from what I recall.

I'm convinced it's paranormal related, but for what reason? Oh,and the sound when Cassie's name was called came DIRECTLY from the room next door, not all the way around from the bathroom either as if it was traveling down the hallway kind of like. The sound was "right there",clear as day.

It may mean nothing to many and I know it's not the spookiest ghost story one would read, but it's paranormal related.I still remember it till this very day.It could have been a message from the other side or a warning.I wanted to share it.

That's so weird. I can't think of any explanations without diving into a 'glitch in the Matrix' scenario

Similar to a story my mother used to tell. She grew up on the west side of the Rockies in a small town called Gunnison. When she came of age she moved to Denver and stayed at the YWCA. Her father was an MD who had asthma. Her father had a pet name for her, which was "Poor Hopes" related to the fact that he and his wife never thought they would have her. He always began his letter to her with the abbreviation, "P.H." One day she was in a common area of the Y with some other women and she heard her father say, "Poor Hopes, I need my medicine." She heard it and everyone else in the room did, too, asking, "Who was that?" Only my mother knew. This was probably in the 1930's. She did whatever it was she had to do to get his medicine to him. The interesting part, of course, is that though everyone heard his voice, only my mother knew it was him.

Obviously my story isn't as uncommon as I had imagined. It's happened with your mother as well this lady I dated. So there is a correlation/family tie related thing going on and the public (not just family, but the everyone else around them) can hear the voices as well as clear as day.Not just that is it literally the voice of that very family member itself, but no body attached at all.A disembodied voice while still alive.I have a witness to go with this event, her very own daughter.Maybe it has something to do with close family members being together, like a very strong bond? Strong enough to break the fabrics of time and space between them, penetrate it,holding unto that voice in mid air, then releasing it when once feels like it.Like psychic power or something. She did call out to her daughter like every 5 minutes for help to do this,do that all day long. She was very, very annoying.Perhaps the particles in the air literally captured one those call outs, holding unto it then released it at the very moment in time.

The only other thing I can think of that would make sense of this is a movie I saw from the early 90s about a demon who would not leave this family alone. It literally would imitate a mothers voice and call out to her daughter (disembodied voice). The demon made this family's life a miserable life in hell to the point they called in a priest to bless the home and then they moved out of state. At the end of the movie you can literally hear the daughter's mother calling out for her daughter (again,a disembodied voice). The demon did not go away despite them mowing out of state and their house being blessed with holy water. It's a based on true events.

I believe it may be possible that we are multi-dimensional beings who exist simultaneously, in different, nearby dimensions. Perhaps dimensions overlapped for a moment. JMO.

Interesting.I cannot off the top of my head recall experiencing voice phenoms like that, well except for groaning my friend and i heard in a house empty except for the 2 of us.We were around 10yo so we took the Nope train to F-Thatville fast.My husband has quite a few times been seen in our home by our youngest gal, while he was at work.

I actually remember now..i used to do this ritual involving a candle, meditation type thing, not magickworks. One evening i distinctly heard a male voice saying "James".I did have a strange friendship online with someone named James at the time.Another time,as i was waking up,i heard a voice saying something like "Nine..it takes nine minutes to get there".Right by my ear,my right ear. That is what i can recall,i doubt i had any other voice phenoms.

I think some people are more amenable to this sort of communication than others. In my mother's case, there was a compelling stressful reason for the communication--a need for . Though anecdotal, it's particularly compelling because of the presence of "innocent witnesses" who had no idea what they heard and remarked upon it without prompting. Another time she had a dream in which her sister appeared and said, "I just thought I'd say good bye" the day she died. My mother did not tell me the story until I prompted her. I just had this suspicion something had happened. She never would have told me otherwise. Once again, this was a close family member, not some stranger. It's too bad we don't try to develop these abilities when they manifest, rather than tend to hide them away and pretend they don't exist.

i recently started to think this too. but im not sure why.

@dripper
i used to hear my partner calling me. They never called me by my name, but "hey!" So, I would often hear "hey!" being called out in my partner's voice.. sometimes louder, sometimes not so loud. And when i would go ask them what did they need me for [since we were in different rooms], their reply would be "but i didnt say anything" or "i didnt call you".
