It was recorded at a depth of around six miles but no tsunami warning has yet been issued, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The shake followed an intense week of seismic activity in which the deadly Ring of Fire was rocked by 70 quakes in just 48 hours.

A mega earthquake has struck off the coast of California, according to official reports. The tremor was about 200 kilometres off the coast of the California-Oregon State border. Experts have warned of no damage to buildings, and there has been no tsunami warning issued for now. The earthquake hit along the Ring of Fire – where more than 60 tremors have hit in the last few days.

The geologist who was talking about the last group of quakes there from the university in Oregon, said they are NOT releasing any of the pressure, it is instead showing energy reales like a crumpling effect off the locked portion of the plate, in other words, it is caused by the increased and incredible pressure from the locked plates I don't know how long we have before this thing goes "TWANG!" Yeah, near me I am near the border not far from the water.
The Gorda Ridges, big landslide area another concern, it is overdue like everything and when it goes we have minutes.
I am getting obsessed with watching lately!

My phone recently issued an alert of an 8.1 off the coast of Suva, Fiji but it was a deep up at about 378 miles. It's been down graded to a 7.8
