I watched the fireworks on TV, the Aussies do it best.

May all the despots and despicable undesirables in the world have a crappy new year, as for the deniers of ignorance I wish you all the best for the next dozen months and if you'll excuse me I have a bottle of scotch that needs to be emptied.

I can guarantee that your weather is better than ours. We consciously planned it so that we don't have to go anywhere for the next couple of days. We may not climb out of the negative temps at all tomorrow although I think we will get above 0 for a short time.

We're making a big pot of green pozole. If Ma Nature is gonna try to freeze us, we're going to respond with a big batch of chicken soup!

I will be having a 'good un' today, My second eldest daughter flies in from Adelaide today. Picking her up at Coffs. Haven't seen her for about 5 years.

Feeling very excited and sentimental. How I have missed her happy carefree nature.

Cheers. I think Sydney has the Aussie fireworks display all sewed up. Melbourne tries hard to compete but doesn't have the harbour or backdrop to allow the visual.

Are you into your second bottle yet?
