Boredom.

Perpetual endless boredom.

It's saturating me, every moment of the day. In my youth I could shrug it off and divert my attention to other interests and hobbies.

Now, it seems like it had always been there, waiting and slowing chewing away waiting for it's moment to strike.

Strike it has, it's a surreal feeling. It, and it's accomplice "time", is a mighty foe that seems to be winning out over what should have been a beautiful mind.

Thank God for booze.

That totally shameless plug might alleviate your boredom, pal.
Or even try the BIGLY “Rabbit QAnon” thread... I don’t know how anyone could be bored reading that one.

Watch Star Trek.

All of it. From the very beginning.

Already done that, several times. All it does now is remind me how crappy this century is.

So I'm watching trailer park boys instead.

I think I might start a Dr who marathon again. Starting at the 2005 reboot.

I actually feel "excited" about that.

I think even the other Spock might have been impressed with that.

Which one, the trek viewing or the Dr who fandom.

I know of that which you speak. Do not despair, you will eventually come to terms with it.

Anymore I appreciate "boredom". What's not to love about a little peace and quiet? What's so bad about embracing non-activity once in a while? Lord knows we get fewer and fewer opportunities these days to give ourselves permission to disengage. IMO there's much to be gained by indulging in so-called boredom -- creative revelation only one example.

I guess it's a matter of perspective. What if after indulging in what you seek you seek to find more? But are only met with that what you seek to avoid.

Years ago, I'd agree, but reality can be harsh.

There's something to ponder on for awhile...

Bright Blessings in this world, and others worlds too.

It's time to "re-boot" and become the child again, where everything is new and fresh and exciting, and there is no baggage

to sit on!

I agree, a reboot is probably coming. But the ability to embrace the naivete of a child has long passed.

Doug Stanhope joke.

"All drugs are medicinal. Boredom is a disease worse than cancer.

Drugs cure it, with little to no side effects"
