And how much were the insurance companies and patients billed for this? Maybe if the price of medical supplies was somewhat related to the actual cost the hospital would order a more reasonable amount. Notice I mention the cost versus the price.

What it costs to manufacture medical supplies is rarely related to the price tag when it is sold to the hospital who then marks it up even more so they can discount it to the insurance companies.
