I just got a message from a woman I know where she indicated that she has a crush on me. I'm apparently single because my girlfriend disappeared from my life about three weeks ago, and I have no way to contact her (outside of what I've done).

The woman I got a message from went out for dinner with me several months ago, and she's contacted me regularly since then. I haven't tried to make friends with her because I find her to be dreadfully boring.

Would the following be bad for a man?

Personality is the most important thing to me in any relationship, but this woman has me thinking otherwise. She's stunningly beautiful, successful, and wealthy. She is incredibly talented. During our dinner she was describing some of her business ventures to me, and I was just in shock. She didn't even scratch the surface. I've heard that she owns expensive property.

You just can't ignore all that. Women are expected to put a lot of emphasis on those things. What if men do it? Is it shameful?

I want to stress that I wouldn't be thinking about any of this if I wasn't physically attracted to her. I think she's hot, and she's significantly younger than me.

She's younger, hot, rich, successful, and wants your bone? You're setting yourself up for heartbreak and failure.

Do it.

I've been married for decades so I don't know what the kids do today.

Take her out for a malted, maybe hold her hand at a church picnic. Perhaps you can buy her a hatpin, but don't be too forward.

Every bit that you just said about her sounds good on the surface. Hold off a bit and let her sweat it and then go from there. If something seems too good to be true then it is not true.

I don't know what failure would be here because I would be ambivalent the whole way (unless I made a drastic change for her). Personality is so important to me I can't describe it in words.

I don't care about sex anymore.

There's really no failure when you barely care in my opinion.

She reminds me of a character from a film noir film. That is extremely attractive to me. I think I could fall for her if I wanted to.

He should sext her?

I think they call that glitterbombs, netflix and chill, and a big mac with cheese. Forward is asking for a relationship.

It's like living on a different planet.

No one "courts" a gal or tries to win their heart.

No one pitches woo anymore!

And get off my lawn!

Said no guy ever.

Or even if you didn't want to fall. Hence, heartbreak and failure, Bogie.

If you didn't care you wouldn't have made a thread about it asking what to do. Just sayin'

Some of us do try.

And get off my lawn!

Actually, the opposite. It was just mowed and the owner is ready for players on the field.

We don't own a grinder, but we have a blender.

Sometimes we make milkshakes.

***SHE MUST BE OVER 18***
21 Would be better
25 is bestest

Sorry Anti,
But I haven't been with a lady/relationship since October 25th 2005.
Honestly I've been quite happy being king of my castle.

But good luck to you, I wish you the very best. Holidays tend to bring people together. For it does get lonely.

BTW.... you're Springing ๐Ÿ™„

Nobody can tell you what's good for you.

But, think about this. How many women tell you they have a crush on you?

How many women even notice you exist?

The law of averages suggests you explore every opportunity that comes your way.

You never know where you'll find the right one.

But, if you don't give it a chance, you'll never know.

Just bear in mind, she could just be "practicing" her control skills on you.

So, go explore, but keep your eyes wide open.

Edit: Chivalrous acts are archaic like me I guess. Tried holding a door open at a store the other day for 2 ladies..... wow did I get a look and a mean comment. I just smiled and apologized. ๐Ÿ˜ฃ
Offering a coat is bad now.
Pushing in a chair is bad now.

But Twinder and swiper apps is where it's at now eh?๐Ÿ˜…

I own a grinder, it works great.

I say go for it, but take it slow enough that you can make sure you two are compatible before you get married or have a kid together.

I'd give her another chance. People get nervous on first dates, maybe she's far from boring usually. I would find it odd for someone that successful to be all that boring.
