Seems to me that UN called Trumps bluff.
But this will be spun as a victory for Trump by the usual suspects on ATS.
Would there be this much controversy if Italy moved their capital to Naples?

I don't understand this issue at all. Who gives a flying flip where some country decides their capital is? Would there be this much controversy if Italy moved their capital to Naples?

the UN has declared his declaration on Jerusalem "null and void"
Due to a veto cast by the United States today, the Security Council failed to adopt a draft resolution that would have called upon all States to refrain from establishing diplomatic missions in Jerusalem.
Thanks for setting the record straight. Take points OP.

That is not actually what has happened. The UN cannot declare US actions "null and void". The vote by the General Assembly is just them waffling off, but they are citing previous UN Resolutions that reference Jerusalem, which have been previously supported by the US. The vote at the General Assembly followed a vote at the Security Council where a resolution was not adopted.

What your Congress decided 20 years ago had no affect on the real world ,what Trump stated a few weeks ago does.
