If Russia is paying trolls to propagandize American social media, what about ATS???

I know that years ago, when I first joined ATS I googled “conspiracy forums” and this was the top result.

So I have always assumed this was the internets premier conspiracy theory site..

Also, every US Intelligence agency and some social media giants have confirmed that Russia is paying trolls to push propaganda to confuse the American people..

Assuming that is true..

Wouldn’t it be a guarentee that Russia has trolls on ATS pushing pro-trump and anti-left conspiracies???

If this is the largest/most used conspiracy forum, then obviously ATS would be on the top of your list..

1) Facebook
2) Twitter
3) ATS


I watch people post fake stories on here from the same fake websites on a daily basis and no matter how many times their predictions are wrong. The next day the same people will post new fake stories from sides claiming to be breaking earthshaking stories, yet they don’t even employ a single journalist.


Since most of those people can read and write, I have a hard time believing those people are that stupid....

So is it instead maybe them getting paid to do it??

Atleast that makes more sense than the lack of intelligence it would take to be repeatedly burned by stories that never manifest.. yet they still keep posting them..


To me that seems way more of a “9 to 5” rather than ideological motivations..

If it was ideology I think people would have learned after the 100th fake story, they might not should trust “zerohedge” lol..

I doubt Russia would waste their time here.

You don’t constantly post ridiculously fake stories.

One fake story every couple months is almost certainly an honest mistake or what have you..

Fake stories 3 Times a day though .... And I mean OBJECTIVELY fake stories.. not stories based on subjective variables..

That seems like more than an honest mistake..

Who even cares?

Even if they had 10,000 trolls out saying the same crap our populace says anyways, well we have MILLIONS of people everyday already doing and saying all the same and a whole lot more than they can even get to.

If anything, having scores of Russians actually tuned into our society out to have certain melting pot cultural dynamics that over time should be a net gain.

And then maybe, just maybe, even more of their beautiful women will find their way over here.

But some folk will not be critical of it because the fake bs helps their own narrative.

I have personally seen threads on other sites that talk about specifically targeting ATS for trolling and worse.

Now I don’t think Russia targeted ATS directly but they have had a indirect influence. Just simply think about how often RT is cited.

In contrast to Facebook/Twitter etc, many people on ATS are not that easy to influence, to program, to fool.
Fake Stories are debunked too fast on ATS.

And Facebook and Co? Their users/members/data hosts just eat what is served, don´t question anything, if it only fits their own ideology, world view. Perfect place to spread Fake News, perfect audience there that wants to be fooled.

Platforms like Facebook and Co have no interest in debunking the fake news they need to keep their consumers amused, to get their data!

Would be a waste of time and effort for russian trolls, to less positive results on ATS!
And i guess they know who is easier to be influenced and in addition to that reachable in masses of millions.
