Someone should name a strain after him just to troll him.

I went and checked Leafly.com after I read this post cause I feel like that should have already happened.

It hasn't.

Well what I'm talking of may be more a local thing, there is little real heroin, and this was a major heroin hub(major port city). I think, being that fent is so much more toxic and cheaper it may be easier to smuggle..hell I hear it gets mail ordered from China sometimes.
If there is real heroin it has been heavily cut and mixed with fentanyl. We have 3-5 deaths a day from fentanyl, our population is a bit under 3 million.
I still am curious to know if pharma synthesizes or uses real opiates as a base? maybe both.
I will check out American Violet.
I recovered a decade and a half ago, familiar with the way it was back then..I just watch the local news to to know what's up now days.

Yeah but I think what Sessions is trying to say here is if y'all think the Fentanyl problem is bad, wait till he tells you about the Marijuana epidemic murdering our best and brightest.

I proposed a Trump-named strain back around the election as a joke and everyone looked at me like I had an arm growing out of my neck.

Not a lot of love in the cannabis industry for our current administration.

Sessions is thoroughly corrupt. Its all about padding his pocketbook through the prison industrial complex. Hed hang his mother for a dollar. Nasty piece of work, that one, hiding behind the veil of religious piety.

Edit to add: At least thats my opinion of him. Maybe he has convinced himself hes doing good for everyone, but if so hes deceiving himself.
Opinion based on what??? You guys are something else...

Lol, it would not surprise me in the least if it does happen, so many x breeds are being made, but most are just mediocre..they try to come up with catchy names though.

As to your opiate question, it depends on the opiate. All of the oxys and the hydros (codone, morphone etc..) are synthesized from thebaine, an alkaloid in poppies that have been specially bred to have a high content of that specific alkaloid. If I remember correctly most of the big drug companies own fields of these poppies in India, which have low to no opium content.

I think morphine and codeine are the only ones still extracted from opium poppies, but I could be wrong and there may be other ways at this point.

Most of the fent in circulation does come from China. And what's crazy to me is that the labs that are making it aren't small bedroom style labs, they're big industrial size places. That the Chinese government has to know about. That's a conspiracy in itself.

With the opioid epidemic sweeping this country and fent being mailed daily from China, it's highly irresponsible for Sessions to argue against any type of substitution therapy, especially a safe plant with 1000's of years of human use. If I was a betting man my money would be on big pharma lobbyists being behind that part. It's ok if you use their drugs, but god forbid anyone uses a natural plant they can't make money off of.

Let's see

Legalize and tax, big revenue.
No offenders to jail except tax cheats.
Tax cheats arrests would open the door to calling out corporations cheating and being jailed.
Oops, can that idea.

Thank's for the info.

I do think the govt in China looks the other way, as long as they are getting their cut they are not looking for the problem.
My boss worked in China in the 90's helping them setup manufacturing for a spray gun he developed..they definitely don't do anything "small time"
I agree with everything you said pretty much.

I'd prefer to eat the rich (and the politicians).

They likely taste a bit stale, like eating 3 day old socks.

Gotta keep those pot smoking heathens checking into the privately ran prisons somehow! This is one of the most blatant grabs at ensuring private prisons and big Pharma keep the dollars rolling in I've seen to date.

Get wasted on alcohol and run over a family of four in an intersection? That's fine. Alcohol is legal afterall!

Chain smoke multiple packs of smokes a day and cost the taxpayers thousands of dollars in lung and throat cancer treatments, lung transplants, and treatments for lung failure? Also OK! Tobacco is legal!

Over prescribe opiate pain killers to the point where people are completely and irrevocably addicted and cannot stop taking them? That's ok too. All that money for those drugs is going right back into Big Pharma at some point in the chain, whether from a script being filled and taken by the patient, or a script being filled and sold off on the street.

Sit in your own home and smoke a join or two, binge on some cheetohs and giggle a lot at reruns of Seinfeld? String 'em up boys!!! They're a menace to society!

Are there any serious, long term, unbiased studies that show pot smoking causes lung cancer? Are there any serious, long term studies that prove without a doubt that THC causes widespread brain damage outside what you might expect from what would be considered a side-effect that can be seen from just about any substance a human can ingest from your common foods to over the counter drugs or prescription meds for common ailments?

Some of the 'normal' side effects from some of the most common and innocuous meds can be very serious if a person has the genetics which makes them intolerant to something in that medication. I know I cannot take any sort of codeine or morphine for pain. My heart and breathing slows down so drastically that I have stoppages of breathing at times. Scares the crap out of me.
