Paul Ryan may very well be leaving politics...

According to politico- His inner circle says he would rather finish out this year/or term and be done. His father died young and he wants to spend time with his kids before they head off into the adult world.

Yup, my jaw nearly hit floor when I read it myself.
I've been griping about the political maneuvers of him and a few others lately but this could be the xmas present I didn't even ask for!
I should add I grew up in Wisconsin, watching him pull some very slick moves and could never figure out how he got away with it. (Priebus was another). Perhaps he's just staying one step ahead of the hammer before it falls?....

It seems Paul Ryan denies this assertion. It may not be completely fake news...but I have been frustrated and talk about doing something with close confidants then regretting it. It was just 'frustrated' talk, if anything.

No one can foretell the future, he may decide to retire but I have a feeling that he will definitely ride it out past 2020 elections.

Ugh! I believe that Ryan doesn't like Trump and is part of the establishment. I never cared for him, but sincerely, don't believe he will step away until Trump is gone. He is and always will be establishment. Is he caught up in the Russian BS? Not as a traitor, but perhaps in spirit to get Trump out. Russians are not doing anymore this year than they ever have. Where was all this Russian investigation back when Reagan was making deals with Russia? Sigh.
