the arms I could see were holding a shield in one hand and a spear in the other like I was holding my arms out in front of me...when instructed to look around, I could see that I was near a tall stone wall, and there appeared to be a village...I could see people, quite a few actually, and huts with smoke coming out the tops...I saw horses and carts.

In my past, I can remember coming from the future, where they had already completely debunked past lives and time travel.
So, although I wouldn't have believed you in the future, I might in the past.

I've thought about trying this for a few years. The guys on Mysterious Universe had a go a few years ago and it sounded like fun. One of them described a life as an administrator at a small port. He worked out of an office near a pier in what he thought was the 19th Century.
It would be very interesting to see what a mind can drag up and how real it can then be. Obviously people report dreams that are profoundly vivid and realistic too. I know I've had dreams about life on other worlds as well as other lives.

Can you draw? Try and sketch out the clothing and the style of buildings. Draw the spear in as much detail as possible. Did it have a metal head or was it stone? Details. You can use the sketches to do some internet searching without too much conscious reimagining and bias.
One problem is we're exposed (saturated really) to historical imagery and details from birth. Even if you drew a spear that's specific to a region in 2nd Century Siberia, you could never rule out the chance of having seen it in this life. Museums, websites, ATS threads, TV documentaries.
Then again, does it matter as long as the experience catches your attention and creates a good story to tell?

Nobody is asking anyone to believe anybody.... you fail.
The question was and is, has anybody tried this and what were their experiences?
Wow! Don't judge this documentary by the first 4 1/2 minutes. Keep on watching cause the more it goes the more it gets impressive. Literally a scientific proof of reincarnation.

Bingo...as I stated before...I cannot rule out that it was my subconscious merely repeating something I had seen in the past.
I plan to continue this process in the hopes that I can see something that I, myself, can verify.
I think it will take a long time to reach the point where I can focus on details, such as a definitive time and date, perhaps a name... or what not....this was my first attempt at something I am very skeptical of, and I need a lot more information to arrive at a personal conclusion.
I only made this post because I was honestly surprised at my first attempt to do this....
I want to explore this further... but it will take me quite some time to resolve this...
I was hoping that some one else has given this a serious effort and would share their results.
I wish that I had the artistic ability to re-create my vision, but I do not.
To the nay sayers, all I can say is do what I did.... relax in your bed, put in some ear buds.... and let go of your skepticism, and listen to the guys voice and try it for yourself.
The worst you have to lose is probably the most relaxing experience you have ever had, even if you aren't able go back far enough, or a non believer.

I believe past lives exist but I am skeptical on the accuracy of Past life regression hypnosis. I feel like a lot of the so called "past life memories" that were obtain from this session can be made up or influenced by pop culture.
