House Republican on GOP tax bill: this is a corporate tax cut, not a middle-class one

Republican Rep. Mark Sanford (R-SC) voted for the Republican tax plan, but he says the GOP isn’t telling the truth about what this tax bill is. It isn’t a middle-class tax cut, he said; it’s a corporate one.

Looks like the suckers on the American right bought the lie once again. My question is; when exactly will you people stop buying into the lie that the right gives any sort of #s about the American people?
Did you not learn or remember the lessons we learned from GW?

stop trying to get the government to raise taxes on people you don't like

lower taxes for everything and cut the government in half, fire everyone and open the free market back up

also don't you think it's a bit counter intuitive for you to be advocating for business to pay a higher tax rate while having the world's most famous Libertarian as your avatar?

If the ball was in the Democrats court they'd do the same exact thing and the left would eat it up just as fast, don't kid yourself. People are gullible and it usually hinges on what party is in office, big surprise. Politicians don't work for us, they work for big business and the MIC, that goes for either side of the aisle. But please, do continue the partisan baiting, it's worked so well bringing us together lately.

They need the middle class to pay the taxes.

I am so surprised that this is the tax bill that Donald came up with. He has screwed most of his supporters but they won't figure that out until after the next election.

Corporations will be the big winners. So if you tax the big corps at a lower rate, where will the money come from to run the Government?

The answer is the middle class

How many times did Trump talk about Obama and how he drove the deficit up. He was supposed to fix it. This new plan lines us up to hit 3 trillion deficit! Good job CHUMP!!!

They're clearly buy anything Republican politicians are selling as long as they win elections. Clearly they don't care about helping the poor, the unfortunate, the displaced, and the sick. They don't have any family values because not only have they always supported lying Republican politicians but they never chastise and disown them for their own deviant behaviors. They elected Mr. P-word grabber POTUS and fully support a accused pedo running in Alabama.

They don't care about the kids. Anti abortion but fully support a man who preys on young girls, so much so a mall banned him!

They care about nothing, only winner and attacking the Left. That's what they stand for. It's stupid but they love it.

Personally, I'm grateful that Hillary wasn't elected, or every one of us would be looking at a TAX INCREASE right about now.

But that aside, rather than speak in emotional terms, simply go to the updated TAX CALCULATOR and find out what the HOUSE or SENATE Tax-Reform bill will mean for YOUR family.

Here's the Calculator: taxplancalculator.com...

(There's an entire ATS thread on this, but I can't find it. The search term "calculator" renders hundreds of results.)

Sure but Trump is just continuing Obama's legacy. They're both turds, they're ALL turds and people seem to love the smell they give off depending on whether they're red or blue.

Its crap that the middle-class cuts would conveniently expire about the time Trump leaves office, if he were to be elected a 2nd term.

While I dont mind corporations getting a tax cut either, it would seem to require the elimination of some ABC agencies that he talked about eliminatin.

The top 20% of earners pay 95% of federal taxes - a tax cut for them isn't evil.

What I wish we could also focus on is the tax code!

Can you explain to me how doubling the standard deduction for individuals and married couples is NOT a tax cut for the middle class?

There's a visual I wont get out of my head soon...thanks for that

By the way, did anyone happen to see the BBC article which states that the people behind Brexit did no impact studies on its ultimate effects? It's not just the US people that keep getting blinded by this stuff...

We're all boned....let's hope the alien warships show up soon.

Have you even READ the Bill?

The largest part of the Bill makes American businesses more competitive by lowering the tax rate on them. Right now they hide their assets off shore and hire less people so they can avoid taxes.

This is a GOOD thing,

Don't we have a history of providing major tax cuts just before a war?

I'm fairly certain that was the case prior to Vietnam and Iraq...but that is just an observation.

LOL, you really expct him to answer truthfully..or AT ALL? Folks who complain about this tax-bill are not capable of seeing the big picture. Don't frustrate yourself.

Any benifits the middle class realizes from the minuscule tax cut, will be eaten up by inflation. Fuel and food will skyrocket.

This tax cut will be really awesome, and just think about it, in one year or two, after millions of new jobs are created, and people start to get pay raises because of it, and tax revenues increase because of more are employed and spending, they can work on another tax cut for the regular people. Of course this doesn't make sense for the left because they want everything handed to them immediately with no effort needed on their part.
