Hi friends Thanks for stopping in, and I hope you are having a great night!
I had to share this tremendously powerful video regarding race issues in America.
The current atmosphere breaks my heart. I think humans are so creative, capable, deep, and tremendous beings. It's hard to see us stuck in such a
base and superficial level when it comes to human relationships. U.S. race relations is an issue that I have spent a lot of time thinking about,
discussing, reading up on, and it is one I care about. I've wanted to write a thread about it here, in hopes to discuss some of the ideas I've
encountered if anyone is interested in an open discussion on race. Luckily for me (lol, just kidding- I'll probably still write up a thread at some
point because there is more to the issue than a song can say) Joyner Lucas's new song I'm Not A Racist sums up a lot of interesting ideas on
the issue, and in a very powerful way.
Joyner Lucas is really, really talented. He's a 29 year old rapper from Massachusets, born Gary Lucas, and his music has a positive message. I'd
like to hear what you think of his words. (Also... the video is brilliant--the end is just great.)
Enjoy the rest of your night/day!

because casting a whole race as superior, inferior, subjugated, privileged, is stereotyping and removes the personal responsibility of the individual
to better his situation and the world around him.
I agree completely. I find the song brings up so many different viewpoints which are held by people these days- and they are all racist.
I also think the legal system and maybe the education system (which hit the poor communities the hardest) could use a huge revamping to the benefit of
everyone.
