They always say "don't judge a book by it's cover". But some book covers described the whole book and by the look of his pic this man is not playing with a full deck of cards. Me, would I wait for him to complete his fantasy. Certainly not.

He doesn't look like the kinda dude i'd want to stand up for....but unless he forwarded it to the school, its just a dude drawing pictures.

But with him being MS 13, i've no interest in standing up for him.

Panhandle of FL justice is even harsher than TX....Close the book is most likely what the judge will do, after he throws it at him.

But how is drawing this picture any different than taking a photograph with someone holding the head of the president?
Yeah the guy might look like trouble , but I know that people look at me like I am trouble because I have tattoos and ride a motorcycle. No tattoos on my face though .

Again guys, this drawing has been classified as a written threat only because of it was delivered to a location in which the illustration depicted had murdered people everywhere. If he had submitted it in a distasteful art contest at some hippy coffee shop between slamming poetry, he would not could not have been charged with a crime. Unless the scene in his drawing depicted that very same venue of said coffee shop and hippy poets.

Now seeing as he could be associated with a violent international drug gang, I have a theory as to the motives and the story just based on the kind of people that I have come across in the past with similar demeanor.

I think he is either related to the kid, or dating the mother/legal guardian. Either somebody was threatening or bullying the kid, or constantly harassing the possible minority child about wall building or deportation nonsense. He wanted toh demonstrate to kid how to be a badass and intimidate your enemies, and took a bit too far.

I think it would have made better sense to just wait for the bullies and have them beaten by loyal peers of the same age like is traditionally done nowadays. Sorry bullies, I may not be able to kick your ass for my kids, but if they cant do it, I know kids your age that can type of thing. Well, thats my working theory. I'll see if I can find a video from local affiliate that can shed some insight.

Off topic a little.. QAnon said there would be a purge of MS13. That its run by the intelligent services and that Seth Rich was killed by them.. Sure enough there have been hundred of arrests over the last month..

I can sympathize with you on that, however gang affiliations permanently inked into ones face kind of grant the reader the right to judge the cover. Like was said earlier, he wrote the plot all over the cover.

Never heard of this town growing up in SW FL, either. I figured somewhere panhandle, too WSC. Not many towns up there (Pensacola/Panama City/Steinhatchee/Tallahassee aside) outside maybe Ft Walton Beach/ Defuniak Springs/Wakulla Beach are known by even the natives. Nobody really pays all THAT much attention to the panhandle.

Pretty much. MS13 are very unpleasant people.

Living as I do in a prison town, I've run into, or had dealings with, many of the gangs. MS13 are not to be trifled with.

That tat is a major strike. Not a nice man...not even remotely.

But...

No action, unless drawing the picture/map is an action? It was a school, however, err on the side of caution, to my mind.
