That triggered a bunch of negative thoughts

I already feel miserable everyday because of the scenarios others forced upon my life. My main goal in life is to leave the allied nations now that i forfieted my citizenship and have allegiance with no nation.

I don’t feel i’ve made any bad decisions. I’ve done and said things others might not agree with but their beliefs, opinions and desires mean nothing. I wasn’t born into existence to follow the rules of pitiful inferior people

Girls can be gamers, too. And they like shows, too. I know a lot of couples who game together. One friend of mine is a female doctor and she has a husband who owns a game store. They play a lot of board games and Magic: The Gathering. A few other couples I know play Dungeons and Dragons together or even play multiplayer video games together.

I was/am a gamer. Husband was/is a gamer.

We didn't meet through gaming, but it was what kept us together. Tabletop RPGs, board games, you name it; we both play it.

We neither one had the money for electronic games, either TV/console or computer until after we were married.

Thing about gamer girls I've noticed though is that a lot of them like to control the table they are at because they are rare and lots of gamer guys are, shall we say, less than confident with women. There are two types - the honest ones and the ones who work their table before moving on.

OP seems to be looking for an honest one?

I have only read your opening post.I would say there are plenty
of intelligent women on this site,starting here would be a good
idea.

Avoid nightclubs,bars,try looking where people don't need crutches,and are not into being trendy,think on more intellectual minded activitys,it shouldn't be difficult if you are truly,intellectual,but you come off as being unsure of yourself,lack in self confidence,this will show through,work on that,it's not transparent

If ladies ever see the video that you posted earlier, or if you display similar behavior to what's in that video when you are around ladies, I have to tell you that women will be frightened of you, whether or not they are intelligent. My advice would be to take care of those anger issues first, and then worry about finding a smart woman to converse with.

Everyone who has replied has been very kind to you, and I do have sympathy, but something about the way you speak about women bothers me. It feels disrespectful...the terms low brow (what do actually mean by that? One person's low brow is another's thesis topic) and immoral (again, this is very subjective. Do you mean they aren't a virgin at marriage, or they have had many monogamist sexual relationships or that they sleep around?) makes you sound hugely judgemental.

You only want a woman so you can practise conversing? Well I'm sure most women would be honoured to serve you!! And I'm not sure thinking of them as a Christmas present, accompanied by a cheesy pop song, is going to present you as having a matching-enough intellect for an intelligent woman to engage with.

I'm sorry to be the only overt critic, but I don't think that the lack of enough intelligent women is the entire problem. It may be a little closer to home. Perhaps your poor experience has coloured your view somewhat? Good luck.

I think several of us are.

IME, when a guy says he wants an intelligent woman, he really means he only wants one about as smart as he is. He wants someone who can hold up her end of the conversation when she talks to him, but wants to talk about things he wants to talk about.

Depending on how smart he actually is, a truly smart woman might scare the socks off him!

The best thing I ever did to attract the ladies was learn how to play the guitar. And if you want to have a love affair; treat all women like Ladies, learn some corny jokes and make them laugh. It also helps if you take a shower and wash your hair.

This method still works for this balding, paunchy, myopic gentleman and the 450SL helps a little bit.

I feel like one has to put themselves out there in a variety of social situations. There are lots of intelligent, great women out there. If that's difficult due to location or what have you, then yes, online. Be the flame not the moth. Write intelligent things and go to places (online or in person) that attract intelligent people.

I don't know though. Living in NY, virtually everyone but the wealthy or people in a lucrative field (finance, law, etc) live in the ghetto due to housing costs. As a result, a lot of the people living in the ghetto in NYC are highly accomplished and educated. Also, I meet tons of very smart people at bars. You do realize that *smart* accomplished people enjoy going to the pub too right?

Wherever you go, there you are.

I will agree though that for meeting a significant other a bar isn't the best location on average.

I don't mind dating men less "intelligent" (what does that even mean these days) than me but when they are aware and anxious about it, no fun comes from that. Plus it's not fun having to make condescension look like authentic interest. You know how many times I've had to learn the same thing for the "first time" just because the guy looks like he needs the ego boost provided from teaching his girlfriend something?

Since I spent most of my time hanging with the guys who were considered nerds or geeks, having to pretend I was learning things for the first time was less of a challenge than not embarrassing them physically.

I was also super-athletic, so I was more physically intimidating. I had the other issue of having to pretend to admire things I could easily accomplish physically more often than not.

It's hard to find a good mix of physical and mental.

I forgot that about you! Brains or brawn is intimidating to a lot of men, let alone both. I'm suddenly gaining more respect for your husband, lol.
