Hello! I come to you as a return member. I was modestly active some time ago with a membership through a different (now defunct) email address. After
some time away, I have recently been a regular visitor and it's been increasingly frustrating that I have no way to respond to some of the good
threads I've been reading.
I particularly enjoy delving into topics relating to music, spirituality, ancient history and philosophy. When I feel down, the "post a funny pic"
series of threads is one of my first-string remedies. I have a deep admiration for some members' aptitudes in critical analysis. I like to write
stories and look forward to sharing my writings.
I am not a "grammar Nazi", but am particularly annoyed by the phrase "No. Just No." I also chafe when a sentence begins with the word "now" when
it carries the meaning "to clarify" instead of "at this present moment". Now, I know these are trifling complaints. Should I strive to become less
judgmental about other peoples' diction? Yes. (Is this an easy task? No. Just no.)
Thanks for stopping by to greet me. I look forward to interacting with you in the threads.
