Man choked, defecates himself after trying to pay ticket in pennies, lawsuit says

Classic man (Anthony Sevy) goes to pay $10 parking ticket with a credit card. The 1980's set up court system charges a $1.75 fee so he leaves and returns with rolls of pennies. Then this go bad.

Things went horribly wrong for a Michigan man who tried to pay for a parking ticket in pennies.

Whatever you're thinking, it's probably worse than that.

It all started when Anthony Sevy got a $10 parking ticket in Royal Oak, Mich., near Detroit, reports WJBK. He went to pay the ticket with his credit card and was told there would be an added $1.75 service fee.

Sevy wasn't happy with that, his attorney told WJBK, so he left and later came back with rolls of pennies.

In the video the clerk didn't allow the pennies as payment and there was an argument. The court officers come to the aid of the clerk and tell him to leave and after some back and forth he leaves. But one of the court officers grabs him from behind in the entrance way of the court house and chokes Sevy "out". Where Sevy poops his pants (I laugh, sort of) and they drag him back into the court and charge him with disturbing the peace and obstructing a police officer.


The video shows what looks like a altercation that ended as Sevy was leaving, why did the court clerk jump the guy? I hope there was a good reason.

Royal Oak is not Detroit, it's actually one of the more wealthy suburbs of Detroit.

Yes they should have, plus, they were rolled. It's not like they were all loose. The only thing I can think of is that many, many, MANY people must do that so much that they're completely sick of it. Doesn't mean they should have assaulted the guy, though.

At least the legal tender wasn't all loose like this guy's bowels. Any truth that the City of Detroit is trying to pay this guy off in Depend™ Adult Undergarments? (Some of You might think it is 'Depends' it is one of those Bruno Magnolies-Mandela thing..)

Now to rub salt in the skid mark, they had to release 3 sex offenders and 2 murderers to house this guy and the guy w/2 marijuana cigarettes...

I'm wondering if he was told that he was under arrest and to turn around. Maybe he decided F this and then walked away. That would explain a lot. If not then this guy should win a lawsuit.
