The USS Fitzgerald suffered two additional punctures to the hull while being loaded onto the heavy lift vessel MV Transshelf. The ship was returned to
Yokosuka for repairs before another attempt will be made to load the ship for transport. Fitzgerald and 50 sailors will be moved to the
Huntington-Ingalls shipyard in Mississippi to fix the damage caused by the collision with the ACX Crystal.
Fitzgerald was towed out to deep water for the loading, which was scheduled to take several days. At some point during the process, the
supportstructure on the Transshelf hit the hull of the Fitz causing the damage.
I know a place in India that can reprocess the whole structure within 3 to 6 months. And "dispose" of all the toxic residues left inside. How does
$500,000 sound? It's my best price!
