(CNN)President Donald Trump, in the latest demonstration of increased tensions on the Korean Peninsula, placed North Korea back on the list of state sponsors of terrorism.
Trump announced the move Monday during a public meeting with his Cabinet at the White House and said the Treasury Department will announce new sanctions against North Korea on Tuesday."
But he also said the decision sends a message to the North Korean regime about the US' resolve and hopes it will "disrupt and dissuade" certain actors from doing business with North Korea.

Trump names North Korea a state sponsor of terrorism

I think, The President believes North Korea to be an imminent threat, and is taking strides to contain KimJonUn's out of control behavior.

Dennis Rodman is NOT gonna like this.

He's buddies with Kim. I wonder if Hollyweird will go nuts over it or maybe the Basketcase League of Jumpers.

I think trump sees nk as a means to get the old republican administration wildcard for war. Lets all hope nothing bad happens because trump is old and kim is short and fat.
Go politics!

It's a back door to war, that's all.

Call them terrorists and you can do what you want to them.

If you believe Trump is a slime ball like the other Presidents who in fact, DID mean to destroy our way of life. I happen to think Trump is undoing the damage Bush Clinton Obama and all the other big club members did. To me, he's a Hero.

a reply to: AngelicIRage That label comes with a back door for the military to do as they please. This is not Trump calling names anymore. This just got very real. Look at what happened to other countries that got that label in the past. This is now beyond the potus. God help us all

What do you propose then, that the average joe does ? Something is going on behind the scenes and has been for a long long time that we're not being told about. I think it's about time we were told. If God exists, I doubt he'll be helping us now. His chance to help us ended centuries ago.

Children being abused and and Women raped and People killed daily, doesn't make me believe in God anymore.

In case you hadn't noticed. Superman DOESN'T EXIST.

We really don't have a large variety of Hero's left , except in Comic Books. And unless your name is STAN LEE and you have some kind of Super Hero Qualities, step aside.

You're right. N. Korea should have nukes because who cares about our safety.

Probably believe in Russia too. (connection)

a reply to: AngelicIRage Bwaaahh lol I love the reference to Stan Lee. And ya GOD is not here. The label does give the military the means to do as they please. The suffering of all the woman and children and all innocent lifes in NK is unacceptable. But that type of label puts many many more at risk. That is what I think we should be concerned about.

I'm so glad you liked the reference. I enjoy making people smile.

Whether or not you agree with me, doesn't matter. Kim is insane and would likely throw whatever he has at us if he had the chance. Kim could very well be the trigger to set of WORLD WAR 3.

Not exactly a laughing matter, is it.

a reply to: AngelicIRage You are correct this is no laughing matter. Even though jokes are involved. My circle of friends have come to the conclusion that maybe the US should acknowledge NK as a nuclear super power. Maybe with any luck Kim ego will be struck a little and he can go to his man cave and cease all the rhetoric that could start WW3. In all reality this would most likely not be the case but there are few options left.

Pretty solid basis you have on our agreement with nk 'having' nukes.

Oddly enough i agree with you, in some possibilty in this vast universe, it is deeply disturbing to see the president of the united states of the country that has dominated nuclear proliferation over the last 7 or so decades, with a method in place that allows for democracy and freedom of speech to subvert common sense for...
i don't think i can finish this sentence and accord with terms and conditions, so i will end it by saying cofveve or something ehatever you make of it

Probably believe a lot of things about russia...mostly from the people i have met who have been there. So not much.

I support trumps actions on the domestic front. He is putting America first is what any sane voter could hope for.

We should not be threatening an entire country because an unelected few with god complexes are holding them hostage. We should be attempting to help the hostages and disregarding the lunatics absolute grasp on power. Many will say, but he has nukes. if you empower the people of NK then they won't need the guy with the nukes. Start dropping food and weapons to remote places in NK. Start dropping bibles and instructions on how democracy works. Get ever missile shield technology in place and start blowing up missile launches. All of these things would be cheaper and humane than the alternative.

Amazing double standard. We are the out of control nation that inflicts Global terrorism on other hapless nations.

Bullies always blame their victims.

What act of terrorism has NK committed???

What terrorist act has a NK citizen committed???

Yet Trump is putting them on the terrorist list...

Hmm... that sets a good precedent..

Of what?

Not sure I've been presented any facts about the charge of terrorism.

You could be a terrorist for all I know, but I've seen no evidence of that either.
