Sorry was not meaning your two in particular, I have almost come to blows with some of my german friends when I point out the problems I see here (that are the same as we have in the states). Also there have been a few responses Ive gotten here that basically told me to shut up cause I was not raised in europe.

Also yep just passed my third year in the triborder area of NW germany, getting ready to head back to the states and get employed since the wife will be leaving active duty in Sept.

The poster provides us with an insight. Take yourself back to the 1930's the Jews were made out to be the leaches on their economies, cultures and other perceived racial issues. Fast forward to today and the bad guy gone good complex prevents many from singling out minorities for problems that do exist.

Be as it may there are major repercussions to the culture there needs to be a line o how much can be changed and lawmakers need to make clear laws that protect the culture without imposing that culture onto immigrants or allowing so many immigrants that it changes the countries culture so much it alienates the majority forcing them to make sacrifices to their normal ways of life.

In a lot of ways the current hatred of Muslims is the perceived scourge of the earth the media and our governments have made them out to be. Remember Islam has been around for a very long time and has not changed fundamentally. What has changed fundamentally is our tolerance and perception of their way of life.

Without a biased view
The responsibility of a government is to protect the voters whom have charged them with maintaining culture, safety and their way of life. Merkel has not done so she has allowed the culture and way of life of Germans to be fundamentally changed at the sacrifice of its inhabitants by not maintaining a reasonable immigration policy.

But that is not the problem here! Maybe for those that want this to be the major problem, but we have other problems.
We once took almost 20 Millions of refugees. And most of them refused to integrate, till today. That´s where all the Neonazis in Eastern Germany come from, that´s where the most voters for the AfD come from, that´s where PeGiDa was born. And, did we go completely down because of those millions of not willing to integrate new citizens?

Now we have a million or let it be maybe even some more, refugees here. Some of them are, who wonders, criminals, a§§holes, lunatics. Were all the european economic migrants that fled to the "new world" angels, Mother Theresa´s?
Most of that million or more are respectful. If not, it would like the rightwingers describe sweden or germany, in their darkest phantasies. Civil war, Sodom and Gomorrha and all that.

But i live here. And to be honest, nothing really changed because of the refugees! It´s our youth that goes postal. It´s our people that go postal, if "Bio-german" or with migrant roots, the people brutalize, in the west. A little few maybe because they are rightwingers since ever and make the refugees now responsible for everything. Even if they messed up their own life by themselves and that began far before 2015!

But people are disillusioned because of the real problems, and the refugees are just one symptom of the disease that turns us all into haters and egoists. The diseas is robber baron capitalism, lobbyist controlled politics, a remote controlled media, the dictatotship of the rich and only because of that powerful!

The people see how you have to behave to become maybe rich and powerful, you have to handle every other human being as an enemy. You have to play foul the whole time, you have to use dirty tricks, you need to lie and betray people your whole life. Like the rich and powerful teach us, every effing day.

You know what the people here in germany are really afraid of, because it´s happening right now and masses are affected? I try to make it short:

Old age poverty!
People that formerly build germany, worked several decades to keep this country alive, are now fobbed off with mere crumbs, have to collect deposit bottles for the 8 to 25 cent per bottle, from trashbins. They maybe have a house left, where they ever lived, now they can´t go to "the state"(that would be the people, in reality) to demand Hartz4(social "welfare" money), because they would lose their house instantly. You have to give everything to the state first, everything that could be turned into money and you could live a while from. You don´t need a house a older person, you can live for rent that almost nobody can pay anymore, except rich people. Following "our" neoliberal, robber baron capitalism living rulers. Is that respect for the people that kept this nation running for decades? Oh, and that problem started way before 2015!

Wage slave jobs!
Two or three of them, to survive, because "healthy jobs" were destroyed to create these wage slaves jobs, at a ratio of around 1(healthy job destroyed) to 3(created slave wage jobs, nobody really can live from). These jobs are O N L Y good for the statistics of the "famous" rulers, according to the mass media we have a job wonder in germany, that steadily grows and grows, the people have to work more and more but get less and less for the lifetime they spend. Btw, it weren´t refugees that created a society like this!

Future prospects!
If you are maybe three decades on earth and are not blind and idiotic, you could see long enough which game is in reality played, and who are the game masters. At that age you should have realized the reality and accept that you can get only rich and wealthy being an a$$hole or being born in a rich family. Some few little acceptions prove the rule. You will have learned that for your whole life everything here is done to make the rich richer, while taking from the not rich. Even taking their chance to get rich by hard working. You will know that politicians lie to save their a$$es and the a$$es of their puppet masters, the lobbyists with suitcases full of money. Lobbyists for the banksters, for the economies, the markets, the multinational acting corporations, for only but all those that have enough money to buy their own laws and rules. That seems to be everybody except the average german people!

There are more and more homeless, because of slave wage jobs and GENTRIFICATION. You know, average people are displaced from cities by rich people, that stuff. Should that poor scum live in front of the cities, to be near enough to do the wage slave work for us... and let them eat cake! These rich people are not refugees!

People see that they work and spend half the year just working for the taxes, but the peoples tax money is burned by full retards that wouldn´t survive in a real job for three days, for puppets of the rich, the rich that in reality rule, everywhere on earth. That greedy 1% worldwide, the greedy "first" 10% of the germans, that exploit the world, start wars and refugee streams, destroy the environment etc, just for more nad more, even if they have more than it is heatlhy. Those rich that use and profit from our infrastructure but spend a lot of money to NOT pay taxes here.

In reality we have political standstill since around 12 years, since former GDR special citizen(she had a nice life there and we all know who had a nice life there!) "U"S loving Angela Merkel, GDR qualified specialist for propaganda and agitation, became Bundeskanzler. Who could take a person serious anymore that had nothing better to do than to fly to Bush, to apologize for germany not taking part in a war based on "U"S lies, the iraq war? Before she became Bundeskanzler. She is one of the most "U"S obeying persons i have ever seen! She doesn´t even care if the "U"S is spying on hear and all german people. Maybe she knows more than 99% of the german public, about that occupation situation, regarding to the "U"S, and the papers that are, because of that, secret till 2099, but that are guaranted all just fake nes and conspiracy theroies...

Her whole life she said today A and did B the next day, playing the a bit stupid but good-natured Mutti. Not bad for an amateur actress in the theatre to fool the people, to be honest! Because most germans were stupid enough, for more than a decade, to believe that crap of this power-hungry but emotionless being and her propaganda team.

The problem is the exploiting system, that exploits the average people, the working and tax paying people, the people that are maybe unemployed because it meanwhile sometimes is better to be unemployed than to work(you have only ONE life) in germany. Or unlucky people that just were victims of the robber baron globalization and the wage slave system and/or the Hartz4 system. The system that takes from the middle class and the poor, to give it to the rich!

Man, if we had list of 50 things now, that people are feared of, the refugees would come at place 48 or 49. The problem is, bad news are good news and every little fart a refugee, a muslim or even just a blackhaired person did, is blown up to the fullest.

That's the only point I'd disagree with. Remember Schröder, Fischer and Agenda 2010? Neoliberal politics made Angela happen, not the other way around.

Many cases (if not all) of Europes "refugee terrorism" (Amri etc.) turned out to be more or less clear cases of state-terrorism, there goes the whole "Fear and Loathing in Refugeestan" narrative. We should author more threads on that matter to raise awareness.

There we have some parties that act as if they would follow different goals.

Ok, we still believe that we have a voice, that we live in a democracy for the people, in a state where the people are the state. Who would you vote for, knowing that nothing changes and that these "politicians" would do everything just to stay in power, to keep their easy life going, on account of the taxpaying community?

They all, except maybe on party, Die Linke, The Left, are robber caron capitalism controlled puppets, only because of that in power and because of that is everything getting worse for the average people. They only act as if they would pursue different objectives, but to stay in power and in that simple life, the all pursue the same targets, taking from the average people to give it to the rich. One must be blind not to see that!

This "Jamaica" mess we had now( i apologize in the name of the still sane german people for that name, dear jamaicans!) showed us again, you can listen live to it now, everywhere, how they just all try to stay in power. They are afraid of re-elections like the "devil" is of "holy water", come up with arguments like re-elections would nearly cost 100 million Euros. Democracy is too expensive for "our rulers", to spend it for the re-elections? OUR taxmoney for OUR will, if the will of the majority are re-elections???

They play with dirty tricks, like the monster-neoliberal, robber baron capitalistic FDP, that fooled the german people. They never wanted that "Jamaica"(sorry!) coalition, but acted as if they would. They had everything prepared, 2 minutes after they told the public what happened, there were ready designed banners on Twitter with "Lieber nicht regieren als falsch"(better not to rule than ruling wrong) and other indicators that this was a long and well prepared move, to play the hero for some of their followers. "Look, we are the heroes that destroyed that Jamaica monster, and nobody else". According to many, many german people, the FDP would lose now, if re-elections would come. And would maybe vanish to where they had been the last years, rightly, into the oblivion!

But they hope that they can fool enough people so that they would win in a re-elections situation, that clientel party for the rich. Same is for the AfD rightwingers, they fool their "left behind" followers same as Trump did, to get their voices. To have a nice life too, on taxpayers account. They are even more neoliberal than the FDP, according to their program, but are elected by "left behind" people, unemployed, that are only unemployed because of the "evil Ausländers". And not maybe because it´s a bit their own fault too, if they wacked their own life. They hate the state but call for him to have an easy life on Hartz4, because they have nothing to lose and Hartz4 seems to be a win situation for them. They don´t realize that they would be the first that would have to suffer if these manchester capitalism celebrating party would be in power. Some parties are good in catching the really dumb fishes...

Die Linke, The Left. Would i vote for them? At least they point to the real problems we suffer from, and not from problems some rednecks in the east and bavaria, and in the rural parts of west germany think they would suffer from. Living far, far away from the next Ausländer that could steal the job these "rednecks" never woud have. But Die Linke is... a party, in the theatre to fool the people. How long would it take till nothing social is left anymore, if they would be in power and like to stay there? Their lies just sound better and realsitc than the crap the others tell. Party stays Party, in the system that exploits the average people.

To be honest, you can not vote for liars if you take yourself serious, so you can not vote for politicians or parties, without making yourself look idiotic because you are looking like you would believe to this lies they tell to get elected. The system is there to serve the rich, and parties and politicians are part of that system, puppets! As one can see if he is not blind!

It´s the whole system that needs to change, but the rich would rather die in a war than to give up just 1% of their profits for the community. And this is where it will end! This is why the rich are the best Preppers atm, with all of their money, buying remote areas like isles, with airports, even some have submarine harbours, surveillance system, rocket defens systems, private armies and all that crap. If their food is finished, they will to come out of their rat holes, the last ones of the exploiters and destroyers of freedom and unity on earth.

As i wrote before, it is the whole society that is slowly going postal, because there is no hope for a better future for the masses, in the dictatorship of the rich, in the west. And because they see that every single of "our role models" is way, way more criminal or at least without any morals than the most small time criminals, every society has to live with, together. If the people learn to only have success if you behave like the last a$$hole, they will behave like the last a$$holes, without any moral. They brutalize, like we can see it more and more, the last years. Add that to the growing knowledge of the masses, knowledge about who in reality is fault for all the mess(not a million of refugees!).

The people in the west were turned into egoistic working bees, just caring for themselves. They were turned into drones without families(carreer, money goes over everything), to be "flexible" for the slave masters. Ready to use 27/7/365. To be fobbed of with mere crumbs that are just enough to pay rent, fill your fridge(work needs energy, food brings energy), pay taxes and maybe the costs for a car( the car you maybe need to keep your job, because of being "flexible") and to become a victim of old age poverty, after you worked your whole life.

More and more people now realize what´s going on and who in reality is resonsible for the mess. They don´t believe anything anymore, coming from official sources or mouths, because almost anything told to them, is a lie. People just get angry and brutalize more and more. They don´t believe that nonsense anymore and don´t vote anymore. But get angry, more and more. Those responsible for the mess react with total surveillance and grwoing police states, are living far away from the "rabble", in a bubble of treacherous security

You should do so more often, I think the two of us in this area are actually fairly close in what we think, there is a seething anger right now that the powers that be are actively ignoring.

Whether its economic, or immigration or the increased surveillance they are just ignoring it and something is going to occur because of it sooner or later.

Again, it´s not a million of refugees, that came 2015 to germany, that turned us into what we are now, over the last decades. Egoistics in an society where the weakest go to the wall. Where the weakest are responsible for everything evil on earth, while the successful but immoral and greedy ones are celebrated as heroes, idols.

Those that buy their own laws, their own politicians(amateur actors), make their own rules, those that tell us(via their mass media and companies) what we have to think, about who or what is evil and who or what not. What we "need" to own, to be hip. They tell us how we have to live but live a complete other life, within their won created rules and laws.

Those that were named in scandals, some of them several times, scandals like the Panama Papers and the Paradise Papers, for example. Those that have more than enough but are to greedy to pay something back to the community that made and/or keeps them rich, those that rather pay millions to lawyers, just not to pay these millions as taxes!

What happened to them? Nothing! Because it´s not illegal. No wonder, if you can buy your own laws and rules, or am i wrong? Not illegal, but disgusting!

What is with that journalist that was killed in act of terror(car bomb), knowing too much about the Panama and Paradise Papers and the whole dirt of the so clean people in there? Did somebody ever try to find the real killer? I guess not, the officials know who it is, because they were the customers. That thing would maybe be so huge that the "rulers" couldn´t finish their securtity line(total surveillance, police state) fast enough, so somebody had to die, to be quiet. Before the masses turn completely mad and attack the real perpetrators!

Such things stay "unsolved", nobody has to take responsibility for such cases. While the average citizen goes to jail if he can´t pay a 25 Euros fine fast enough, for example. For crossing the completely empty street at red traffic lights, maybe. The average people feel the whole power of the law, that seems to be made just to punish average people, not rich people. As we can observe day by day! Sometimes the need a pawn sacrifice, to deflect the masses. Like: Look, these people go to jail, too. Yes, one of them in a decade, with special treatment, like our "beloved" Uli Hoeneß. Just to take pressure off the almost boiling masses. And it works, because the big grey mass is stupid, again and again.

The problem was, is and stays greed of those that have, often more than enough for several lifes!
Till the masses are that fed up so that the system will be brought down, not peaceful. Because, like "our" Mutti Angela Merkel clings to power(not to the profit of nation and people), those that profit from that exploiting system are to greedy to make "sacrifices". They rather exploit till everything explodes. Thinking they could handle every problem with their money. Even billions of angry, exploited people worldwide, that want their peace of the cake back, the greedy ones stole from them.

We will see what will come after the forest burned down and new life can thrive because of the fire!
Nobody of the so called official firefighters, that in reality are the arsonists, is willing just to spend one bucket full of water, to maybe prevent the forest from burning down. No, she is just the daughter of a wealthy family, daughter of Ernst Albrecht, former minister president of Lower Saxony. If i remember right, she has 7 children, at least it is said that she has born 7 children. Because, standing for years in front of every camera and microphone that she can find, to leave her comments, can´t be the reason for her being minister for families before she became Minister of Defense. Because good mothers raise and educate their children by themselves, with being around them, being a mother. But Ursula von der Leyen can´t have been a good mother, if her childs have obvisiously been raised by nannies, put in "elite" schools and stuff like that. But she was allowed to tell millions of mother and families how to live their life! Ah, and she started to study medicine, but never finished. Guess too hard work, children that are raised by nannies and having to study at the same time, without any financial problems...

Let´s have a look at "our", what a luck now former finance minister, Wolfgang Schäuble. Do you know the term let the fox guard the henhouse? That is what what happened when they made Schäuble, a people hating(since somebody attacked him and put him into a wheelchair), embittered, neoliberal criminal that was caught red handed in a black money scandal, involving germany`s lord of war, Karlheinz Schreiber. In a normal world he would have been in jail and on Hartz4 today, maybe. But he became the most harmful financial minister of germany and europe, for the average, not rich, hard working and taxpaying german and european people. Who wonders, to be honest?

We have Ministers that in one year is agriculture minister and the next year he maybe is transport minister. But studied maybe everything else, but not the real life(average people have to live) and not agriculture or transport. They have no clue about what they do, for our tax money. And anybody still wonders why everything is going down the drain here?

Germany is ruled by greedy but corrupt, neoliberal robber baron capitalistic criminals and by incompetent amateur actors that burn the peoples money and live an easy life from that money. That are only in power because of names, family ties, money and the grade of how corrupt they are, how criminal and morally reprehensible they can and want to be!

Are you suggesting that at the end of WW2 the allies should have killed all the Germans?

That is a bit harsh to say the least.

No "democratic" elections, no parties and no politicians will ever change that system!
Only the sheer majority of angry, long enough exploited people , the power of the people can and will change that!

I had to write that much and long that i couldn´t read any comments yet and answer them, and now i have to finish, it took way too much time.

But at least i could explain a bit of why something is like it is, in germany. I would have to write a book to explain everything, with sources and really every aspect of the problem we suffer from.

They get to be represent them in parliament.

There is a system ,and for the life of me I don't know what it's called. You have an election and in the result the lowest voted parties are excluded and you vote again till you have a safe majority party.
We have this in the UK. We have multiple silly parties that take and split votes from the credible parties. Like the Monster Raving Loony party. Plus as in Germany some offshoot parties do it on purpose to take voters away from opposition parties.

My extended family visited Germany last year, and they still can't talking about it. They absolutely loved it. The food, the beer, the beauty, the people, all of it. They want to go back, of course, they were tourists, and how the government runs didn't mean much to them as they were too busy eating, drinking, sight-seeing and taking selfies. I do know they preferred the smaller towns over the larger cities, although Berlin was a fav.

I am pretty sure that the current immigration situation is a part but far from the whole of the issue.

Europe is a mishmash of cultures and border crossings, half of the countries are hodge podged together and borders have moved.

Blaming it on Muslim immigrants mean we have to ignore a whole part of history that was happening before they came along.
