What are you talking about. I know of no current mainstream religion that espouses such practices. Just because a religion recognizes unbeleivers as being in rebellion to their God and hence subject to HIS justice does not mean that believers are instructed to go and hate and persecute. I freely admit that there have been crazy loons who teach hate and intollerance but they are the exception not the rule and can be found on the fringes of all religion. You show a deep intollerance and ignorance of the worlds religions by insisting on lumping believers into this lunatic fringe.

And if those religions can only remain intact if all their hatreds are kept intact--in the name of "divine justice"--

Did I say anything about hatred? You keep ascribing hatred where there is none. I can find smoking distasteful and even offensive without hating the smoker. In the same way I can find homo sex offensive without hating the person. Justice is never satisfied with hatred. You are confusing justice with revenge. These two are opposite ends of the spectrum. Justice, when it is perfect, is administered without malice. Further it befits the crime. While revenge often befits the crime it is sought out of hatred and its malice dilutes the application of justice by commissioning another crime.

well, bring on liberal humanism, bring on new religions, bring on something to stop the insanity.

Did you think about this statement before making it? Liberal humanism has given rise to the worst governments and societies of the 20th century. Names like Stalin, Hitler, and Mau were all synonomous with Liberal Humanism. They each sought to encourage a society where the mainstream religions were either expunged or minimized. They each were directly responsible for attocities that defile humanity. Many of these attrocities can be directly linked to their hatred of religion. To this day China continues to imprison, torture, and kill people simply because they believe in a loving God. Hitler killed over 6 million people because they believed in the God of the Bible.

Do you think that the hatred that these men held was all that different than the hatred you are spewing concerning religion? You, like these men, see mainstream religion as a hindrance to a progressive society. You seem to think that Christians, Muslims and the like are deluded hate filled schemers bent on dominating society. That is exactly what Hitler thought of the jews. He thought he was doing the world a favor by stamping out that intollerant religious group. Do you really want to associate yourself with the likes of these tyrants? If not you had better take a large dose of tollerance and love in order to cure you of this wasting disease of the soul called hate.

I will pray for you even though you do not desire it. This act of "terrorism", as you have called it, I do in love for you for I am concerned for your soul.

"PS: Christians who hold up Bible passages as "proof" of why non-believers are going to burn in hell, why homosexuals are bad etc are deluded because the Bible has passed through so many hands & censors & people with religious & political biases that I hardly consider the entire thing the actual word of God--rather, it records some things from God along with a lot of cultural CRAP that is not from God. To worship the Biblical words themselves, to fetishize them to the extent that Evangelicals do, is tantamount to idolatry. "

That is a very good PS, as it encapsulates your bias, ignorance and hypocrisy.

I'll not go into your misunderstanding of Christianity, or your desire to pick and choose the parts of a belief to which you do not even subscribe in the first place. You even attempt to explain what the Bible is, and then try and say that studying God's Word as He told us to do is "tantamount to idolatry", and trying to say that when the Book says God says "Thou shalt..." that is nothing more than "cultural".

This is probably going to really piss you off as you hate this upcoming fact like all wannabe tyrants hate their own impotence, but you have neither the power or authority to tell me what parts of my faith are to be tossed out just so you can practice your own personal abominations without the reminder thatthere might be a God out there who made it perfectly clear not to conduct yourself in such manner.

One more little question, here...anyone want to tell me why this is in the conspiracies in religion forum? I see no reason why a "ban religions" thread is a conspiracy-related thread.

Bring proof... you claim its been altered prove your assertion. Easy to do... bring forth the deleted passages. Prove where they were edited. Otherwise your statement is "blah blah listen to me...."
