Melissa Hodgman Gets SEC Promotion

Melissa Hodgman has been named Associate Director in the SEC’s Enforcement Division, succeeding Stephen Cohen, who left in June. Ms. Hodgman began working in Enforcement in 2008 as a staff attorney, joined the Market Abuse Unit in 2010 and was promoted to Assistant Director in 2012.

Among other things, Ms. Hodgman has: (i) led Enforcement’s Cross-Border Working Group; (ii) co-founded and served as enforcement representative on the Chair’s Attorney Honors Program; and, (iii) is a member of Enforcement’s hiring committee at its Washington D.C. HQ’s. Before joining the SEC, Ms. Hodgman was an associate at Milbank, Tweed in Washington.

She earned her masters of law (in securities and financial regulation) as well as her law degree from Georgetown University Law, and her BS degree from Georgetown School of Foreign Service.

Didn't the NYPD have custody of Weiners laptop since May of 2016? I'm thinking the FBI got involved in late Sept. They would have had knowledge of it far before they publicly announced.

Maybe you are correct, the promotion was a reward for things.

News articles from the time say the NYPD had the Laptop earlier and that the FBI was interested. I'll try to dig up articles. My dates appear off. But there is this from late Sept,

Investigators took possession of multiple computers related to the inquiry of Anthony Weiner in early October, U.S. law enforcement officials said. Weiner is Abedin's estranged husband and is being probed about alleged sexting with a purportedly underage girl.

Senior officials at the FBI, including Andrew McCabe, the FBI deputy director, were briefed on the issue. By mid-October, Comey learned investigators in the Weiner case might have found something that could have an impact on the now-closed probe into Hillary Clinton's private email server, according to one law enforcement official.

Comey was told investigators were still trying to figure out how many emails existed and their pertinence to the Clinton probe.

Senior Justice Department officials were briefed on the situation about a week ago and Comey was given a full briefing Thursday, the officials said, triggering his decision to notify members of Congress Friday

Honestly, I'm not sure yet. I just discovered the link (it's long, but oh man is it pertinent), and can't tear it apart until I get home from work. CERN's White Rabbit Project may utilize the XKS nodes for instantaneous dissemination and querying. Add a sophisticated A.I. and the NWO gets it's sea legs.
