Yeah, there is some strangeness going on with this "library" . 1st it will be the 1st presidential library that will not be maintained and overseen by NARA. They will pay Nara a fee to maintain the digital records that can be requested as they become available. It is totally up to ex-POTUS to decide which records they want to make available.

These are repositories for preserving and making available the papers, records, collections and other historical materials of every President of the United States from Herbert Hoover (31st President, 1929-1933) to George W. Bush (43rd President, 2001-2009). In addition to the library services, museum exhibitions concerning the presidency are displayed.

It seems to me this is being built as some sort of clubhouse for those in the LOOP, and of course a good party pad needs a kitchen ! It does seem that the Obama Foundation will own and maintain the building and grounds by opting out of NARA, so I'm not sure what the scam is exactly, other then this library not being used in the original spirit of holding the physical papers and records of the President it is built for.

Official fundraising for the Barack Obama Presidential Library and Museum began in January 2014; however President Obama has chosen to forego the traditional route and his Presidential Center will not be a part of NARA. The Obama Foundation will own and operate the museum, but will pay NARA to digitize unclassified records and release them to the public as they become available.[1]

so do you think it would make obvious sense to wonder what micelle is up to at the moment? i'm looking, but there's no SANTA tracker on mrs. obama (that i've found).
(i don't mean "obvious" to be aggressive. i say it alot. i just mean it in a "what if we checked it out?" way. the word "obviously" gets me in trouble all the time)
