Now that is how you start a term of office - running away from some women with construction paper signs...

They should have to wait 7 days after the purchase of said construction paper, before they are allowed to take it home...

Best post of the day.

We are one craft store away from general anarchy... sad...

I think I hooked up with her once...

She never made a sound...

Weird.

Yep... ole ED tried to distance himself from the swamp, but he is definitely a swamp member.....

We'll try a simple if than exercise.

If you take money from lobbyists to win an election, you're swamp.

If you have an R or D next to your name, you've taken money from lobbyists.

If you're from the two (one) party system, you're swamp.

Like any rule there are exceptions, being independents using R or D because they have to (examples, Ron Paul, Bernie Saunders, and Donald Trump [ side note: Trump seems to support swamp with who he surrounds himself with]).

Wow, you guys can re-frame just about anything and give it a conservative spin to make this landslide victory look bad.

If mental gymnastics was an Olympic sport, Americans would win every. single. time.

Hands down. If we're not number 1 in education or healthcare, at least we're number 1 in mental gymnastics lol

So then calling out the absurdity of this dude skidattling as such, from mere construction paper, that's putting a "conservative spin" on the event?

And for all you folks downplaying this and making jokes about the guy and his victory...

Virginia just flipped 14 seats from red to blue. That's the biggest Democratic pickup since 1899. Just stop and think about that for a second.

Also, the Democrats now will have veto power in post-census electoral map drawing...this is a first since 1991.

I'm not sure if the joking, jabs, snide comments and sarcasm here are just folks "fronting" because they're scared or what ... but this is a pretty big deal.

And to add insult to injury, let's not forget a transgender individual also beat an incumbent who once called himself "Virginia's chief homophobe" that's also quite interesting.

I'd say it's a textbook example of "framing" and trying to redirect the narrative.

I love that post. It was well thought out, sensible, and you didn't seem like you were too vested in the argument at hand. Nice sting.

Now can we quit the "two party" circle jerk and actually get some real representatives?

You've seen me blast both sides, can we quit the team play BS and actually get our republic back?

They play us like fiddles for crying out loud. We act so convicted on issues and defend when we get crossed because "at least it was our team".

We haven't been represented in some time. 60% of our federal taxes goes to losing wars... Strategically.

Come on ATS members.

Every time R or D wins, that's another loss for We The Little People of America.

Well done!

I wonder how the sealed indictments are distributed between "D's & R's" and if it will change any political power ?

Why didn't this flipping from Red-to-Blue happen when Democrat Obama was President? It's hard to believe that the majority of Virginia's citizens didn't like the guy.

the protestors made a mistake, thought they were at the republicans...
don't worry they learned of their mistake while being escorted out and they weren't being physically assaulted by anyone.

I was listening to the coverage of the election last night, the way it was being portrayed is seems that it wasn't a vote for someone but rather a vote against trump for many people. As for me, we kept getting these stupid little postcards many times a few every week, mostly saying the same thing..
"You Can't Afford Northam", with not even a mention of who was running against him, or what their policies might be.
it was such a crappy way to run a campaign, I decided that I was all for Northam without even knowing who those stupid cards were trying to draw me to. I'm was glad to hear he won!! have no idea how well he will do, but hey, let's find out if we can afford him, heck, maybe we will all luck out and he'll find a way for us to afford the medical system!!!
