DNC Head Donna Brazile Considered Replacing Anemic HILLARY with JOE BIDEN.

When Donna Brazile was the head of the Democratic National Committee last year, she squarely faced reality. She could see that Hillary had too many personal issues, to be a viable and effective U.S. President/Commander-in-Chief.

Former Democratic National Committee head Donna Brazile writes in a new book that she seriously contemplated setting in motion a process to replace Hillary Clinton as the party’s 2016 presidential nominee with then-Vice President Biden in the aftermath of Clinton’s fainting spell, in part because Clinton’s campaign was “anemic” and had taken on “the odor of failure.”

In an explosive new memoir, Brazile details widespread dysfunction and dissension throughout the Democratic Party, including secret deliberations over using her powers as interim DNC chair, to initiate the process of removing Clinton and running-mate Sen. Tim Kaine (Va.) from the ticket, after Clinton’s Sept. 11, 2016, physical collapse in New York City.

Brazile writes that she considered a dozen combinations to replace the nominees, and settled on Biden and Sen. Cory Booker (N.J.), the duo she felt most certain would win over enough working-class voters to defeat Republican Donald Trump.

Brazile paints a scathing portrait of Clinton as a well-intentioned, historic candidate whose campaign was badly mismanaged, took minority constituencies for granted, and made blunders with “stiff” and “stupid” messages.

The campaign staff was so lacking in passion for the candidate, she writes, that its New York headquarters felt like a sterile hospital ward where “someone had died.”

Describing Hillary and her campaign as the "odor of failure", "where someone has died", must have her stunned and angry right now.. Just like she was the night she lost the Presidential election. Throwing stuff...Cursing at statues...Wiping her butt with Bill's tie...almost exactly 1 year ago.

QUESTION: If JOE BIDEN and COREY BOOKER replaced Hillary-Kane, near the end of Sept 2016, would Biden-Booker have had a better chance of beating candidate Donald Trump? Maybe they can team-up for 2020, with Donna Brazile as the leader of their campaign.

And no. Bidden would not have stood a chance. No one they would have ran would have stood a chance.

Biden beats Trump. But Biden was overwhelmed by his son's death and felt he didn't have time to campaign properly.

Just about anyone the Dems could have put up would have beat Trump.

Trump won because everyone hates Hillary Clinton.

Actually, I don't know if Donna Brazile has released her book yet. Last week, only certain chapter excerpts (the juicy ones) were published.

Booker might not have been the best V.P. candidate. Isn't he radical, in the same vein as Van Jones and Al Sharpton? Anyway, replacing Hillary 40-50 days before the election would have been too late. Besides, as D. Brazile said in her memoir, WOMEN would have been really P.O.'d by Hillary's removal.

Which of my assertions are you asking about:

1) Why Biden didn't run?
2) That Biden would have beat Trump?
3) That just about anyone the Dems could have put up would have beat Trump?
4) That nobody liked Hillary Clinton?

If you're asking me about 2 or 3, why didn't you challenge the guy who posted right before me who claimed Biden would NOT have beat Trump? You know, the guy who also said no one the Dems put up could have beat Trump...

Top Clinton staffers hit back at Brazile

Looks like her coworkers don't agree with her.

Top staffers from Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign on Saturday hit back at Donna Brazile's description of the contest in her new book and her reported consideration of dumping Clinton from the party's ticket.

Senior campaign officials signed the open letter, including John Podesta, the campaign's chairman; Huma Abedin, the campaign's vice chair and longtime Clinton confidante; and Robby Mook, the campaign's manager.

"It is particularly troubling and puzzling that she would seemingly buy into false Russian-fueled propaganda, spread by both the Russians and our opponent, about our candidate’s health," the staffers wrote.

Brazile wrote that Clinton's campaign took advantage of a joint-fundraising agreement to hold influence over the national party during the primary season — reigniting an internal feud over whether the nomination fight was rigged by the party establishment against Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).

Has it occurred to you that had the Dems actually run someone with a bit more in the way of credibility we wouldn't have Trump in the office today?

But nope... The Dems had to run the evil Clinton. I mean why try something else that might have signaled wholesale change, and not the "same ol', same ol'."

The GOP did something different, and won. Remains to be seen how good/bad that'll be, but it was different.

I can with a certain degree of safety predict that the Dems will run someone much like Creepy Grandpa in 2020...and, equally predictably, lose. Hope I'm wrong. I hope the Dems will run someone a bit younger with something like new ideas who might bring in some new blood, along with new ideas. But it's a slim hope, at best--and a fools dream, at worst.
