If you had been given a stronger alternative to vote for would you have voted for them ?

Most have answered “no” to this question...
Despite the words “stronger alternative”...

That’s Cult behaviour.

This site is hardcore Trump supporting territory though. You need a wider range of people for better data.

That is laughable now you point it out.

Like if I had bought a new car last year and you asked me would I have bought a better car for the same price if I could have and I said no I would have bought the lesser car anyway.....

In a few days it will be one year since Donald J Trump won the Presidency of the United States , a lot has happened in that year not much of it good in my opinion which led me to wonder....

1 Who here voted for Donald Trump but in the intervening year has had a change of heart ?
2 If you had been given a stronger alternative to vote for would you have voted for them ?
3 Are you embarrassed by the Presidents twitter tantrums ?

Genuine questions no agenda.

I think an equally interesting question to your #1 is who here did not vote for Trump, but in the intervening year have decided they will next time?

It's ambiguous terminology. Alternative to who? Trump? Hillary?

Given that there was no possible stronger alternative at the time to Hillary I am guessing Trump but...ambiguity.

It wasn't meant to be ambiguous I meant Hillary , if Trump had faced a stronger challenge would that have swayed peoples choice.

No change of heart I like what he's doing while deflecting in other directions

No alternative stood a chance against the corruption

I used to hate Twitter now it's great. Like a good sportsman he fakes to the left and moves to the right. He has the left beat at a game they didn't even think they would be involved in.

No change of heart.

I likely would have voted for a better choice, but none seemed to exist.

Yes, the twitter and ability to be trolled and act like a 14 year old is a bit irritating, but then when I think of the possible alternative, I realize that I can live with that for now.

First I am not American and didn't vote but wanted to answer your questions . 1 . I thought Trump was a joke and wouldn't have voted for him if I could have but I would now .2 My first comment on the election was "Go Bernie" 3 .I think he needs to turn it up a notch .

1. Yes, VOTED for him. Change of Heart?---Yes. Like him even more now.

2. No. He was the best choice.

3. No. LOVE his tweets...triggers and drives the loony left and their media crazy.

I voted for him and I have had a change of heart. I now have no respect for most liberals.

2 If you had been given a stronger alternative to vote for would you have voted for them ?

This isn't a great question as "stronger" is pretty ambiguous and makes the question impossible to answer in any way worth discussing, but of course I would. A stronger candidate is a better candidate, and of course I'll choose the better of two candidates.

3 Are you embarrassed by the Presidents twitter tantrums ?

Definitely not embarrassed. I'm amused, and sometimes confused about why he chooses to post certain things, but I like that he uses social media to address the nation directly on a regular basis. It prevents the media from twisting his words which they are oh so fond of doing.

calling everything "cult behavior" is pinhead behavior. Sure it's easy to do, and makes your fanboys get all squishy for you, but it shows little to no ability to think or communicate. I am pretty sure you are better than that. Trump is an enigma, and his ability to be what and who he is, deserves some credit. He was an asshole going into this, and despite that, still won the presidency of the United States. Think of all those before him who spent years kissing babies and asses. man up Chuckles. Don't be "that guy".

Ok. I read it as meaning Trump given that the OP is about Trump and there was no stronger option to Hillary at the time.

If you can give a good reason to not vote for a stronger alternative...
I’ll retract.

Given that you said this...

I likely would have voted for a better choice, but none seemed to exist.

... I wasn’t even referring to you.

You don’t think if someone asked “if there was a stronger alternative to Hillary” and people said they still would vote for her, it wouldn’t be Cult behaviour?

It's still incredibly ambiguous. How much stronger? What are you considering strengths?

Of course there is a point where I would vote for Hillary if her being stronger meant she was much less corrupt, but it's just a bad question. It asks for a yes/no answer, but there are no parameters, so you really can't give one.

I like Trump because he's a straight shooter who always speaks his mind. I mean, who here doesn't find that REFRESHING.

I prefer to think that instead of embarrassing himself, he's embarrassing you.
