If Hawass knew about this "void " for years, then why the hell have we just found out about it now ?

Hawass has trouble finding his own arse hole, let alone a possibly exciting void in the Great Pyramid.

There's so much unknown history under there... To be the first in thousands, or at least hundreds, of years to discover it would be like a dream.

Of course they write it off and say it's nothing... That's why I wish we could get someone in there that would go live and stream to the rest of the world, the truth...

My personal opinion is that we will never find out...

Remember the exploration of the shafts a few years ago with robots? I followed this very closely and was actually emailing Shaun Whitehead, (the leader of that team) at the time to find out what happened to the project, (Project Djedi).

If you remember they drilled a hole in one of the sandstone "doors" half way up the shaft from the queens chamber with the robot and peeked through, only to discover another "door" a few feet further up. Now, the interesting thing about these "doors" were the copper ringlets on the back side... People tried to ascertain the purpose of these copper rings but never came to a satisfactory conclusion.

Some red Ochre paint markings were also discovered in the shaft which were claimed to be construction notes. Now, this is where it gets weird, they were going to drill through the other door, but 12 months after breaking through the first this still hadn't been done. Apparently the Egyptian government decided to halt all exploratory works on pyramids at that precise point...

I emailed Shaun several times asking about the findings after going through the second door and he told me that the findings would be released in the standard way, through the archeology publication, (Can't remember the name of this magazine)....

We waited patiently for the results to be published, now this was all rather fishy considering the first door had been breached on live television, then all of a sudden nothing, and Shaun wouldn't even tell me if the second door had been breached or not...

Subsequently Shaun informed me that the Djedi project had been canceled and he was now working with a German team on a different exploration mission.

this frustrated me no end, are they saying they never went through the second blocking stone? I never discovered whether this had been achieved or not.... Eventually Shaun said he would no longer talk about Djedi.... Frustrating!

This all happened at roughly the same time as the Arab Spring, which caused additional problems with access and communication with the director of antiquities, Zahi Hawass... (Later replaced with a new director, some said Hawass was suppressing discoveries that suggested the pyramids were not built by the Egyptians. Hawass was obsessed with proving that the Eyptians did it all and would go to extraordinary lengths to prove this)...

Anyway, there is a reason for this diatribe, I personally believe that we won't get to see this chamber... The damage that would be caused by the exploratory work would be immense and there just isn't the appetite in Egypt currently to damage these important income inducing structures in the name of science.

I can only see the same thing happening with this project as happened with Djedi.....

PA.

This video is from Graham Hancock's FB page.

Pretty sure i saw a older YT video explaining there is a hidden exit behind the King's "Tomb".

This was supposedly to let the last workers out of the tomb, after they sealed the obvious entrance.

Chances of the space containing treasure or burial chambers are almost nil, said Aidan Dodson, an Egyptologist at the University of Bristol, but the discovery helps shed light on building techniques.

When they did the televised robot in the shaft episode, Hawass was so enthused and said blatantly they had surely found a hidden tomb. So can't listen to him.

But there have been reports year after year of probable voids. Hawass agreed there was a void when they explored the shafts.
This is last year.

A group of scientists has just claimed to have discovered two unknown voids or cavities within the Great Pyramid of Giza, the largest pyramid ever constructed in Egypt. Such cavities can be signs of hidden burials or rooms and as such, media outlets across the world immediately ran headlines touting this "discovery." One outlet even went so far as to proclaim that "secret rooms" had been found in the Great Pyramid.

There is no way they didn't finish the project, Hawass was excited!
I disagree with your conclusion I don't think the damage has anything to do with what they are hiding. I think it is likely it was something they didn't think the public should be privy to. I also think they likely found a way to get to the area from benight the pyramid as it would have been designed with a hidden entrance.

Kewl! It may be awhile but they will at some point drill in and place a camera/robot into both. I do hope something of interest is found - I suspect something like the relieving chambers - ie rocks, dust and maybe some graffiti!

I hope I am wrong

Good to see you Hans

Yes, you are probably right and I hope you are wrong. BTW you mentioned a PM and it didn't arrive.

a reply to: PerfectAnomoly I agree, we will never be told if something exotic is found, there is a world view and agenda that needs to be maintained to keep the plebs in line.

I personally am totally convinced for many reasons that not only was there an ancient, possibly human, possibly not, Earth civilisation - but there still is, under the oceans and in the earths crust/mantel - where it stays relatively stable compared to the surface, I think they built the pyramids, the three at Giza anyway.

Also, side note, I was born in Oxford, raised in Didcot, moved up north about 5 months ago, how's things down there?

Elon Musk needs to start "Pyramid X" for ways to open up the chambers.

We can send up the robot Djedi, but thats not good enough. I think it will turn into the Oak Island treasure fiasco when they sent down the rover that just bounced around in the corner the whole time!

Keep the Lagina Bros out of Egypt!

Do you honestly think they stopped the project and not just removed it from the public eye? Clearly, they did send cameras with drills into the shafts and know already that something is in there.

Do any of you remember the "fake" report by a reporter who was, in fact, real, about the meeting of archeologists in Egypt who wrote that one of the speakers there announced that they found something in that void and it "was not of earth"?

I can remember reading about goings on in the pyramid at nights years ago and cables running to places blocked off from the public , Olympic swimming pools of fresh water being drained everyday from under the sphinx and shafts over 100 foot deep being accessed by going into Campbell tomb [ map room ] near by and what ever happened to the hole in the sphinxes head from old photos .

I wish we could take it apart and take a look at stuff, and put it back again. Too many of the stones are going to be bigger than we can move. Any drilling into the stone to cut into the void might start a war.

theres a frenchman who sold all his belongings and dedicated his life to figuring out the pyramids. him along with a 3d graphics company have identified other non load bearing blocks that they would also like to move but have been denied so far. theres also a void that spirals up the pyramid that was detected by a japanese team i believe decades ago and still we have nothing done there and all it takes is to move one block and theyd know if the void really exists.

Cool .
I also discovered a void in a pyramid:

I wonder if there's some kind of deep connection.
Notice that the zero at the peak aligns with the
letter "O" in "VOID"
