CIA releases new tranche of materials seized in 2011 Osama bin Laden raid

A computer recovered in the 2011 U.S. special forces operation that killed Osama bin Laden contained a video collection that included kids' cartoons, several Hollywood movies and three documentaries about himself.

The list of the videos was included in the release on Wednesday by the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency of nearly 470,000 files found on the computer seized in the May 2, 2011, U.S. raid on the al Qaeda founder's hideout in Abbottabad, Pakistan.

So I have to say I would not want the contents of my computer put up for public display esp. the section of errrr "Art" photos. That being said, I did not found and lead a major terrorist organization either.

So what did we find?

Aside from the profiles / documentaries of himself and the obligatory beheading video......

The viral video "Charlie Bit My Finger"
Lots of pirated movies like Antz and Cars (he did have kids)
role-playing game Final Fantasy VII (Cough *what a geek* Cough)
Tom and Jerry cartoons ?????
Copy of Resident Evil: Who doesn't like Project Alice right?

Best of all: A 911 Truther video


Its quite interesting and while he is dead, there remains a level of fascination behind this man. It really does make things clearer for me, and perhaps confuses things. Typically these religious extremists are a do as I say not as I do group and Old Bin Laden was no different

Interesting he had a 9/11 Truth vid on his computer as well - not all that surprising though. I'm sure he saw the same Bin Laden video I saw where mainstream media & authorities claimed it was him taking responsibility for the attacks but face and beard looked a bit different

I understand why they did it but IMHO it represents a huge level of understanding with this branch of Islam. Wahhabi's, people forget had to be talked out of destroying Mohammad's grave as they view the veneration of the dead as a non starter. It also explains the (with apologies to Jimmy Buffett 'They paved over Mecca and put in a parking lot" mentality of the House of Saud. They could have buried him on land and it would have been okay. Heck make a shrine to him with his grave and make the Wahhabi;s put up or shut up as it were

I'd say Final Fantasy was likely used for communications to other cells. It has been widely know that cells use online gaming for comms.

Ha...yes it is. I played it too. The one from the article was a newer version of it that was on his PC and if I'm not mistaken, did have the ability to connect and speak with other players online.

It was definitely done by Steam, though I'm not sure when they started it.

Idk, he is pretty hip to social trends so you would think he would have a boatload of cat videos and lolcatz to give that kinder, gentler psychopath vibe.

Seems to me that the laptop may have been used by many in the household, including kids and possibly some of the women.

I think the raid happened but they killed someone else and just made up that they killed Bin Laden. I think he died a while ago from health problems but the Bush administration wanted to have a boogieman still out there to justify invading more middle eastern countries. They won't release a photo and they threw him in the ocean...yeah right. I don't believe that, at all. Obama used this fake event to look good for re election. I don't know about this laptop but they have had plenty of time to fudge these documents.

Why do I feel like I read all about this about a year ago?

He was not killed there , the bbc sent a reporter there to interview the locals and they all laughed at the idea it was Bin Laden and a local shop opener even told the reporter the name of the person

CIA is the king of fake news.... what load of BS.
