Tusk ... a disturbing movie.

So, last night the Internet didn't work again, and about 12 o'clock comes this late night movie called "Tusk".

I thought to myself: "Finally a creature-feature"!

A big wild boar ravages the landscape!

Boarnado!

No, it is about another creature.

But what I beheld, still disturbs me until now.

I just went and watched a trailer and they actually use the song in parts of it! You hear the drums start at about 4:15.

Now that I see what it is about, I think that this movie was mentioned in another thread within the past year.

I just looked into this movie and realized I have absolutely zero desire to EVAR watch this! What a twisted and bizarre story!

I can easily see how this movie would be disturbing on a scale which is not even measurable!

"Meh, it's just a trailer. I'll have a look. How bad can it be?"

NOPE!

No stars or flags for this debacle.

I love this movie! Who knew Kevin Smith had that in him??

The dialogue during the first hour is great.

I thought it was a troubling but entertaining movie. I've watched it a few times.

The movie has such bizarre nationalistic references to Canada (I think only a Canadian will really understand), but I wonder about a similar horror movie for South Africa?

A crazy old Doc literally wants to turn the rugby team into Springboks.

The team Captain: "Doc, why are our ankles hairy, and we have hooves - are you sure these vitamin injections are safe?"
The Doc: "Absolutely, just puts some hairs on your legs - kom hierso bokkie, have another shot!"

"Doc, the guys want to know, why are we growing horns?"
"Ag, just for the Huisgenoot magazine cover. We file them down a bit. Kyk nou? Perfect man. Stop complaining about being horny and scrum in there!"
"Ja oom" (yes uncle).

Woke up, got out the bed - some soda water for my head.

And the first thing that pops into my mind is that poor dude, swimming like a walrus, playing with his beach ball and eating a mackerel.

Flip that movie disturbed me.

You finally have a giant walrus bone, but your girlfriend doesn't like you as a walrus, and not much else you can do with it.

That is a horror story!
