For this month of horror, may I ask all members to post their most horrific book illustrations?
They can be about war or haunting; ghosts or aliens - anything horrific.
(No gore or anything against the rules, just rediscovering the quaint - and what gave us chills, and brought us to the unexplained.)
Doesn't matter if attached from Google or a photo of a pic.
Just one per post, and at least a source, or where you first found it.

Found the book on special at the CNA, maybe back in 1988.
Just knew I must have it.
It was R11, add a zero to that these days.
Shortly afterwards there were the little smells and bells of occult rituals in halfoldman's bedroom.
