Or if the wrong people find out. I personally had to give a statement to get a friend out of some trouble when a girl falsely accused him of sexual assault at a party when her friends started making fun of her for who she was making out with. Everyone saw it was consensual, but it suddenly became "he forced me" when her friends were giving her a hard time about it.

Edit: This was back in the 90s. If this was today and on a college campus, my friend probably would've been expelled regardless of the contrary testimony.

I can't remember a time when feminism did more than talk about the good things it had done in the past and then proceed to crap all over that legacy by embarrassing itself.

I'd like to be a real feminist like my grandmother was. She joined the debate team in high school even though she was told she would have to wear a man's suit. She and her mother went out and got one and altered it to fit. Then she debated. She used to ride around behind my grandfather on his motorcycle pre-WWII. She was the Girl Scout troop leader and took my mom and my aunt and all the others camping like the Boy Scouts for years.

And she was one tough farm wife with a mind sharp as a knife.

She'd be appalled at what passes for feminism today.

Its sexist to say that women cant handle alcohol
as well as men or that she cant make this decision,
that the man has to make the call .
If all else fails you have to record it and have the consent
in the recording as well as the act, in case she changes her mind
after consent.
