Dreams of shadow people and demons

Wondering what ideas you have please.

for the last 2 or 3 years i've had nightmares, really bad ones that wake me up terrified. the two recent ones were last night and a couple of weeks ago. couple of weeks ago i dreamt i was in my house, in my bed and was being attacked by a demon (my memory is rubbish so can't remember proper details) but i ran over the road with my dog to my friend and asked him if i can stay there and he said i could have his bed, as i walked through his hallway i can see my house from his and i could see a large mirror in my bedroom and i thought i've got to have a look, as i did it knew i was going to look and it was crouched down hands on knees and it was my brothers face but it was evil and i woke up.

last night, again in my dream i was in my house in my bed and a shadow person was after me it was by my bed and my dog was laying next to me, again i ran over to my friends house to sleep on his sofa but for some reason i had a small daughter and thats all i remember. i woke up at around 2.30am terrified. sorry, for my memory again.

i've had paranormal around me since i was 13 and im 44 now. but i always have these same dream its either a shadow or demon and its really starting to bug me now and don't know if it means something. i not long ago helped a friend get rid of a demon in her house, perhaps its that? i had my house blessed and she ad hers done, but then for 2 nights as i lay there awake thinking it felt like my soul was being sucked out of me backwards (as i was laying on my side) and that was a really weird feeling!

my brothers best friend died in his house in front of him 5 weeks ago and my brother is seeing shadows running around. my brother is an alcoholic, he stopped drinking for 5 months but since Dan died he's back on it and deeply depressed, they were like an old married couple even though they weren't partners or anything. my brother hardly knows anything about the paranormal but Dan did and he was a proper bible basher training to be a pastor. he died of sudden heart attack and was declared brain dead in my brothers place, i was wondering if Dan doesn't know he's dead? and perhaps he's trying to manifest but as a shadow? Dans aunty has the shadows in her house as well. the ground floor flats garden theres a pentagram burnt into the ground. don't know if thats anything to do with it? or if Dan has left a door open when he died.

in my dreams it is always in my own house in my bed with my dog there. its really starting to affect me now and can't stop wondering if it means something.

My nephew, who is 9, nearly died at birth. Ever since his birth they have had encounters with shadow people in there house. Same house they lived in 6 years prior and nothing of such events. Everyone in their family of four has seen these things at night. The good news, is they have never caused any harm other than frightening them. Almost seems like my nephew opened up some sort of portal. I might be mistaken on this part but they talked with someone who has that ability and said there is a lot of "light" coming from him and that is why the shadow people are attracted to him.

Did you have anything like this happen?

Have a priest or knowledgeable lay person cleanse your house and ask for any demons in you to be cast out at the same time.

Get right with God through Jesus and continue to pray for protection from demonic forces.

Spiritual warfare is real.

nope, had nothing like that at all! i've just been dreaming of these things for a few years and don't know how it started and the house has been paranormal free for a couple of years too.

i had a priest come round when i helped my friend out, he blessed everything, including the dog! i now know theres a spiritual warfare and its all real, i was agnostic but turned true believer after seeing what the name Jesus does. my friend hasn't had her demon come back.

Banishing will only work if the real name is known or the Spirit of the Lord is either in your soul or next to you.

There is a theory that shadow people feed off fear. Therefore, they often appear in your room standing over you while you are asleep. When this happeneds, try to work on not being fearful. Try to embrace the experiance if that's possible.

I'm sorry this has been happening to you.

If you aren't familiar with lucid dreaming, please consider looking into it. It could very well end your torment.

One of the lucid dreaming milestones is the ability to remember your dreams. And it sounds like you've got that in spades. The rest is easy.

You can stop actually stop those dreams and oh so much more. JMHO.. Good luck.

funny you should mention the lucid dreaming. i have lucid dreams about zombies, if its not these shadows and demons its zombies.

but with the zombies i have always been able to control the dreams and i've not yet been got by them. i'll read the link you posted. thanks!

Either Jesus tells you or you can read the angels bones.

Everyones true name is etched onto their soul and only God knows them all.

All demons use aliases like Shem-y-haza or Name-of-Power in Hebrew.

Just read 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4 and believe that Jesus was the ultimate Sacrificial Lamb on the Cross. Then the Spirit of the Lord will seal your soul from all demon attacks.

Do you mind sharing your religious beliefs? I ask, because my best advice, from a Christian point of view, is to rebuke this thing, or things. A believer can do this, and order such influences out of his life.

One place we lived, when I was pregnant with my older son, was haunted. My daughter and I both hated the place. The hubby never saw or heard anything, and neither did we when he was there. He's apparently a natural ghostbuster! In any case, when he was home, nothing would happen. Nights he wasn't there (Army, field exercises all the freaking time), I'd hear what sounded like booted footsteps in the attic. Now, that was a crawlspace, and no way one could walk in it. Not animal scurrying, either, but booted feet. The basement was creepy, too, and the attic entrance was at the top f the stairs to the basement. The door to those was off the kitchen, and held closed by a hook-and-eye latch. You could shake it, and it wouldn't open unless you moved the hook, but days, when I was there alone, it would be opened, all the time, even tough I kept locking it. Worse, I had dreams. The house had these large wall vents, low to the floor, for heat, and I'd dream there was a troll-thing, like a larger version of the one in i]Cat's Eye, living in the walls, and coming out to chase me. It stopped when, in a dream, I rebuked it, like it was a demon. No more drams, ever, of that thing.

Yours seem to have been going on a lot longer than mine did, but I suspect they could be stopped in a similar fashion. Your aiding someone in removing one would certainly attract attention, and you could be subjected to harassment because of that. As for that garden, can the thing be removed?

Faith can work wonders, and there is power in His Name, so you don't have to face this alone.

I disagree. We are told to cast them out in Jesus' Name, not to use theirs. His power, not ours, can and will remove them. Stronger ones, prayer and fasting might be needed, but you can remove one without a name. Tossed out out of a friend's place, when I was staying there, and she was away. Came back later, because she isn't a believer, but was gone for a while. She knew why, too, that it could come back, but didn't change her beliefs. Go figure.

Have you ever witnessed a demon being cast out in the name of Jesus ? I have not.

From personal experience I felt 2 demons being removed from me after making a genuine plea for help from God.

Even Jesus mentions in the Bible that His disciples were not 100% efficient. Successful banishing depends upon full faith in His Name and the Word of God.

Your friend was probably going to lose something dearly if the demon was permanently removed. Money, material items, wealth, power are the usual temptations that make people stay with demons. Bit like having a quick fix down at the local shopping mall with money from thin air.

Many true Christians go through Job's life where the devil is allowed to destroy a believers' lifestyle via financial losses. If the believer is stubborn and faithful, then they will survive to the very end.

From a person? No. I firmly believe it's possible, though, and have heard from others who have seen it, or, like you, experienced it themselves. And it's true that not all are successful. Faith is indeed the key there. Plus, as stated, some take prayer and fasting, as well as faith. Not all are of equal rank/strength. When younger, and less sure in such things, one showed up in a Sunday school class I attended. I couldn't see it, but could sense it there, and was very upset. Of course, I prayed, and I also went to a solid woman in the church, one of those strong pillar types, and told her about it. Frail-looking elderly lady, but tough!! I have no doubt she prayed, and it was GONE. That was, I am sure, a lesson for me!

The friend had, and still has, a lot of emotional issues, and some family ones, that caused her to not be able to fully trust in God, and I understand that. She knows what she needs to know; she just never decided to fully accept it. For that "ghost", no benefit to her at all - she was scared of it, and it threatened her young son, too - but she wasn't able to have the faith needed to keep it away. Hope and pray that she will get there someday.

Very true about the hardships! I have been among Christians who would speak of chuckling when some new believer started talking about how life would be "so much easier now", once they accepted Jesus. We all knew better! The stronger one's faith, the more the enemy will attack. That I know well!!

i agree, in this spiritual war everything depends on the strength of belief in the fact that Jesus was the ultimate sacrificial lamb on the cross.

Many strong military men think they can take a demon on. Oh what ignorance.

Your friend should understand that even if her son is a target, the host body does not matter. Its the child's spirit that counts.

The fallen angels are quite stupid as the more they personally attack a mortal, the more they indirectly verify that the persons faith in Yahushua is strong.

Since the days of Job you would have thought that their predictable tactics would have evolved by now

Well I was going to add in some words of wisdom from my 20+ years of researching the Shadow People Phenomenon, but since this has gone the way of the bible and not facts I'm going to stay quiet.


Before I depart ask yourself:

Do the dreams represent any stressors in life (possible PTSD related events from your childhood, it doesn't need to be from combat), or is the shadowy images in your dreams represented of missing information from your past?
